Dilema re: temp job your input please

big bear

A bear on a mission!
This is the situation & I really don't know what to do.

My maternity leave/pay stops this week. I'm looking for part-time work as I've the 2 little ones. I signed up with an agency & they've rung to say they've 2 weeks full-time work starting the 9th May.

I don't mind that but my dilema is I've registered for JSA but I won't know if I'll get that as it's 50/50 depending on my contributions. I'm having the interview next week with the job centre. If I do get JSA then this job will mess it up on the other hand at least I've a few weeks work if i don't get JSA as there will only be one wage coming in.

I really do want to work but very few part-time jobs.

I need to let her know today as I need to go into the job tomorrow for a few hours to learn the ropes as the lady dealing with it is away until the date it starts.

What would you do? Any advice?

Thanks

Part of me wonders if it's worth all the faffing around for a temp job, eg sorting out the little ones, JSA etc. But then again, it could lead to a permanent position and you are getting more work experience.

Actually whilst I type this I think I'd go, the interview will give you good experience.

Even if you do get the job you don't need to take it;)

Good luck
