SW classes, what actually happens?

Hi there-I just rejoined tonight and at the meeting I went to there was 2 ladies one was group leader and was weighing you and one took the money (to help queue go down I think) about 12 people stayed for the class, lots weighed and left.

She then just asked the room if they were happy/sad about how the week had gone and people nattered about good syn free products, products that weren't syn free etc.

Good, relaxed atmosphere. Best group I've been to (and I've been to a few) I can see myself succeeding there!

Hope that helps x

I went to classes a good few years back, the after class didn't really do much for me but the thought of getting on the scales infront of someone else made me stick to the diet!

I was expecting something totally different to what the class was, it was a lovely atmosphere with lovely supportive people who know exactly how you feel, a bit like this forum but in person!

The class would discuss whats been good or bad during the week, share recipes, sometimes someone would bring in a low syn meal to share around along with a recipe for you to take home, our class also had a raffle, everyone would bring in one piece of fruit or syn free food for a hamper and every class someone would win it, I think it's a great idea if you feel you need the added support of people around you.

Staying to class or not staying is a personal preference. Some find it boring, some find it a waste of time. It can be repeatative, but in my experience, the ones who don't stay to Image Therapy in our group don't lose.

Personally, I am not so sure I'd have reached target quite so easily wthout staying. Then again, I was always 100% so I might have done.

I am definitely a convert from not staying to staying. The atmosphere is so friendly and also it's a good confidence builder

I never stayed at the classes after and now I wish I had because it can be very motivating and everybody shares ideas for recipes, snacks etc....When I re-join (doing it on my own at the moment until after my holiday in 2 weeks) I will defiently be staying at the classes.
