Hi guys, bit of an odd question but....
Im starting CD in 2 weeks(can't wait i'm so excited!).Im 5ft 9" and currently weigh 14st 10lbs.Im aiming for 11st. I know everyone is different but wondering if there is anyone with similar measurements or weight loss as I am wondering if I will get "baggy" skin or loose skin....I'd just like to prepare myself!
Any advice would be gratefully received!

Anyone??

Hi it will be my third weigh in on Tuesday. I'm 5"8 and weighed 14st 3lbs. I've list 17lbs so far 12lbs in the first and 5lbs last week. I have not noticed any saggy skin as yet I do go on a power plate 3 times a week.

As much depends on genetics as anything else. You may be one of those lucky people who have inherited genes that allow their skin to bounce back into place. Probably best to check out the female members of your family to see how likely it is that you'll be one of these folks.

The other thing is age. The younger you are, the more likely it is that your skin will ping back. :)

Some say that exercise and body brushing and using creams (i.e., massaging the skin) all help.

I'll probably just have to tuck my loose skin into my knickers... :D

Actually, in all seriousness, when I lost 5 and a half stones on Cambridge in 2007/08, I wasn't too saggy at all.

I know a few of the girls on here use firming cream and body brush! I am thinking I must start doing it just in case I go saggy. I'm only 20 so I'm hoping my skin will ping back in to place but I know a girl who is only a couple of years older than me who lost a few stone on a similar diet and she's about a size 10 now but has wobbly skin on her arms. Doing toning exercises is probably a good idea too. I think I read somewhere it takes about a year for your skin to fully catch up with weight loss but don't quote me on that!

I think it depends on how much damage you've done to your skin already. I got over 16 stone, had a stomach ravaged by stretch marks and had a baby and now 3 stone down it's not pretty lol I have a lot of excess skin already and I guess I just pushed my skin to it's absolute max. Hopefully it'll go back somewhat thanks to still being in my twenties but I don't hold out much hope! But the way I look at it is I'll never have a bikini body but then I never did! But I'll look damn fine in my swimsuit! ;) x p.s that's why they invented magic knickers I live in mine lol

Aww thanks girlies,I guess it is just a "wait and see" issue,I mean all the ladies on my side are pretty slim and fit and have never really been overweight so its hard to tell!
Hopefully being 24 i'll be lucky,I guess time will tell.....If all else fails I think i'll be off down Harley Street!

Honestly don't think you will get any baggy skin!! You have age on your side, and you aren't hugely overweight anyway!

When I lost 6.5 stone, I did have lose skin a bit, even on my forearms it seemed a bit wrinkly if I pushed on the skin (but then I've just tried again now and it's the same!! So I was prob being a bit paranoid!), and I definitely wouldn't wear sleeveless dresses or anything, as I hate my arms anyway. That was the most surprising thing, I thought at a size 10 I would be able to wear anything, but I still had to shop to buy things to suit me rather than anything off the peg!

Good luck and just remember to keep remembering your excitement at starting throughout the first week - it's certainly not easy, but get in the right frame of mind and it's the best weight loss plan you could wish for!

You look fantastic in your after photo. Im sure it spurs you on and all the best luck on your re start.

its a near certainty that i will have baggy skin. thou im in my 20's i been overweight since my teens, have lost and regained several times over the years, was near 15 stone overweight when i started cambridge and i have several over hangs already.

but ya know what while its not gonna be a pretty sight naked, with magic knockers and dressing well its not going to be noticable. and while i do get infections in places i shouldnt there not killing me, the extra 15 stone i was carrying WAS

i would go back and correct my spelling but to be honest reading it back i do have magic knockers, they keep men mesmerised anyway, lol

i of course meant magic knickers, lol

The 'magic knockers' comment made me LOL!!

Yes,the "magic knockers" did make me chuckle!

I started on cd at my heaviest of 19stone 12lb and i exercised and toned the whole way through and i never got any baggy skin anywhere.

This is very encouraging, although goes to show just how different we all are.
Same as some women have huge baby bumps-get no stretch marks and other do...
