Well i've never done a weight loss diary before!

I've been trying my hardest to lose weight for my holiday which is coming up on the 16th May (I know i'm not going to get to my target weight before then!! Just want to lose a few pounds)
Its hard as all my friends are perfect size and don't need to diet. My bf eats the healthy food with me but still eats junk food! I live with my partners family while were saving for a deposit for a mortgage....they have had the whole house renovated and at the moment we have no kitchen apart from a mircowave in the utility room and an oven in the garage! I've been doing well though, for Breakfast I always eat my special K with semi-skimmed milk (easy as I can't cook atm) then for Lunch I have a couple pieces of fruit and a yoghurt. For dinner I try to chose meals to make that don't have any syns so I generally make my own pasta sauces or have an omelette mixed with veg.
I used to go to the SW meetings every Monday but I didn't have much motivation to go on my own plus I wasn't losing much due to not having a kitchen and resulting having to eat takeaways/junk food for the first few weeks as we had nothing.
I've decided to join back up when I found this forum and everyone on here is so inspirational! Was thinking of putting pictures up every 2 weeks or so like some members have to see if i can see a difference.

Work is the hardest time to stay healthy, everyone offers chocolate and biscuits etc its very hard to say no. We also have a very small kitchen which only has a mircowave so i have to bring in food that i can pre-heat.

I hate not having a kitchen!! I have been eating salads etc but now we have no oven just a mircowave. I keep thinking to myself that I should start the diet after we have a kitchen but is that just a way out??

Hi hun, it depends if you are in the right frame of mind, I've tried and failed millions of times as my head wasn't in it, it's finally working for me now though. If you want it bad enough you will suceed hun, make a list of why you want to lose weight, find pictures of your dream clothes and make a scrap book etc etc.

How long until the new kitchen is ready? x

Hi Louise,

Not too sure when the new kitchen is ready, most likely will be over a month until it is all fitted etc.

Making a scrap book seems like a really good idea! I will have a good look through all of my sw books tonight and plan all my meals for the week. :)

Must be hard not having a kitchen I think I have seen threads on here about similar before if you could find them maybe there would be some ideas in there for you and maybe in the picnic and camping threads? It sounds to me like you aren't having enough of the right foods and then end up getting the takeaways etc as you are probably hungry!
If its important to you to try and keep to plan then keep at it and even if you don't lose what you want to lose hopefully it will limit you putting on .
Can I also just check that the special k you are having for brekkie is a healthy extra? I didn't think it was except maybe for the sustain? Sorry if you didn't realise just don't want you adding more syns than necessary and make sure you are getting your healthy extras x

Yeah it is hard and everyone seems to be having lots of takeaways.
The special k is one of my healthy extras. Today I've had 2 light alpan bars for breakfast. 4 rivitas with grilled pepper Philadelphia & grapes. I think I might have a jacket potato tonight with Spagetti hoops?

I've decided to re join slimming world on Monday, it will be 2 weeks until my hol but I might lose a few pounds :) hopefully I'll be back in time for the meeting as I'm going to a falconery fair 3 hours away. This forum has brought my motivation back & I can't wait to start again!x
