Bella Italia...Please Help!!

Hey all,

I'm out for a meal at Bella Italia on fri night, and could really do with some help in figuring out syn values! I've looked at the menu and would love to have the duck and spring onion pasta in plum sauce but no idea how many syns this would be. Alternatives would be chicken and mushroom risotto or pork and beef meatballs in tom sauce on spaghetti. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I've only got 1.5lb to loose to get my 3 stone shiney and would love to get it next week before going on holiday!!

Thanks :) x

You just can't tell what the syn values are for these meals, unless they are listed online.
I'd say avoid the risotto as there'll be a lot of oil and butter used, as well as cheese, the meatballs in tomato sauce would be a good choice, there'll be some oil used but it won't be as bad syn wise as a risotto.

Duck and spring onion pasta - well if the duck is lean then that's okay, as is the pasta but plum sauce is generally full of sugar. I'd still say this is a fairly good choice though - and it sounds lovely!!

Just choose wisely, avoid cream sauces, added oils and cheese and bread.

I'm the same.....off out tonight and tomorrow! Neither are well know restaurants so I can't check calories in my book.
I'm being the driver to cut out the risk of alcohol!

Agree with Jaylou, watch cream, cheese and bread. I would go for mainly tomato based sauces and chicken or fish just to make sure.
They always use olive oil but you should be ok if you avoid some of the above.
Enjoy your evening
