Newbie desparate for help!!!!

I've been doing sw, I was doing really well I set my self a weight loss challenge and my life changed. I've had a few meals out and pub lunches, I'm now constantly gaining! I thought I was been healthy when eating out by ordering jacket potatoes and chicken until my leader told me sine places deep fry jacket potatoes and chicken is covered in fat! Also cooked chickens from a supermarket aren't a free food!!! I don't want to give up, I want to be able to enjoy my social life whilst doing sw - just desperate for some advice on how. Xx

the deep fried jacket pots is an urban myth! check out the eating out section of your book for syn values, also if u know where u r going, plan what you will have ahead of time, check with SW online for syns, and don't forget flexi syns :) save those syns for the nights out :)

No need to panic. How long have you been doing SW? You will have small fluctuations in your weight from time to time. Even if you think you've been very well behaved that week lol. Just stick at it. In the long term you will lose weight.

The odd meal out should not result in repeated gains if you are following the plan correctly the rest of the time. How often do you eat out and what is your pattern of losses/gains? Your choices have been good ones so don't feel bad. As said the baked potato thing is wrong and the cooked chickens are free as long as you remove the skin.

I suggest you post your food diary on here and we can perhaps see where you are going wrong.
