Zumba wii game

The fat is melting away!
I have just ordered the zumba wii game. :banana dancer: I have just dance game which I enjoy but my sister has borrowed it. However, I am keen on trying zumba but I am too self concious to join the lycra brigade at a class. Has anyone else got it? If so how do you find it?

Will let you all know what its like.

ooh sounds awesome! yeah do say what its like i'm curious! xx

I love Zumba, and bought the Wii game, was soooooo excited about it but a touch disapointed. my critisisms of it are..........
The graphics are awful its a bit like watching one of those heat sesative cameras, so its hard to work out what they are doing. It nothing like the other dance games for the wii, so long as I moved regardless of what i did it told me I was awesome etc
I found the practise/learn the steps section a bit rubbish, i couldn't work out what they were doing, no verbal instructions all based on these coloured blob people and i got really lost.
I hated the way you used the controller to enter personal info etc took me nearly 20 mins kept deleting it all by accident.
It doesn't even tell you how to wear the belt, where to have the hand control bit, which way the handcontroller goes in etc, had to keep putting it in and taking it out to navigate through various screens.

Be sure to read the booklet that comes with it, a good few times, none of the info in it, is given during the game.

That said I was dripping with sweat by the time I'd done my first 20 min beginners class :) so will keep at it for that reason only. I gave up on the learn the steps bit and went onto the routines, I imagine it gets easier with repitition, and to be honest the catchy music and the bouncing around kept my interest. It was easier to follow the steps during the routines compared to the practise stuff.
The only other drawback was I kept running out of lounge to fully copy the instructor :)

Its arrived. I am used to the funny colour people from just dance. I was worried the belt wouldn't fit but it did :D (funny how its not stretchy). I jumped straight in and did 20 min beginner session. I was sweating conkers after it so it must be working. It was fun and thats the main thing and cheaper than a crowded class at £4-6 a session.

i read this post the other night and was intrigued so i went straight to amazon and ordered it ,
i have just finished my 20mins workout and im sweaty and tired !
i think the belt should be stretchy as it kept riding up when i moved my hips and i had to keep pulling it down! but other than that it was amazing and well worth the money as i dont have to do it infornt of all the people in the class !!!

I am thinking of buying this too but first going to try it out at my friends tomarrow night, looks fun x
