Total Solution New starter, can anyone help with TOTM/cycles question?

Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help me.

I have been doing Slimming World for a few months, but my losses were very slow (they always are on SW). I've ordered a month's supply of Exante packs which will arrive tomorrow.

I want to TTC in around 6 weeks time - am monitoring my cycles etc and have previously conceived on the first time of trying (not for a moment suggesting I'd be so lucky again, but assuming for the sake of argument I will). I was going to give Exante a blast for 4 weeks to try and get a stone off before we TTC, then go back on to Slimming World.

I've searched this site and seen that Exante has sent some peoples' cycles haywire. Am now wondering whether I'm doing the wrong thing. Is it a common thing for cycles to go crazy on VLCDs or do some also carry on as normal?

Sorry for the ramble, would be great to get some guidance from those who know! :)

Im the opposite I HATE the fact Exante has made my cycle totally regular... its the one downside to it as far as Im concerned

Thanks Starlight - what's a pain in the backside for you will be good news for me! I guess maybe I won't know until I try, it's just that I'm normally regular as clockwork and TTC asap is hugely important to me

For me it's made me regular as clockwork... used to be totally irregular. We had loads of trouble trying to conceive (before this sort of diet...) however I became pregnant whilst on LL... apparently this often happens, as a lot of people find this increases their fertility... so be careful if you're not actually ready to do this!

Found it has shortened my cycle....gone from 33+ days to 26-28 but I also have some spotting...(TMI sorry). Best of luck with the weight loss and TTC.

Mine is all over the place at the moment on 10days then break a few days, then back on again.

Thanks for your responses ladies, that's really helpful (and congrats on your losses, amazing stuff). Completed day one yesterday (yeeek, STARVING!), so am going to go ahead with it for a month.

Cybill, once you discovered you were pregnant, did you stop LL straight away?

Hi - It lenghthen's my cycle so I don't ovulate when I think I will and Oops - now suspect am in early stages of pregnancy again so obv off exante for a while -(conceived immediately having done Cambridge diet previously with number 1) - so be careful - and good luck with it

Mine have been sopt on for the first time ever since starting exante.

Fab news Slimmer Bridezilla! I'm keeping a careful eye on my cycle (obsessively, actually!) so will see if it has the same effect on me - hope so! Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months for you.

My cycle has always been 28 days since my 9th birthday ( im nearly 30) and iv been on vlcd for 3 months and still the same so hope you stay the same. good luck ;)

Congratulations slimmer :D xxx
