hi everyone, i am just waiting for my books to come and I am actually ready to start, put on a stone since xmas after loosing 3 with CD :(

I have not even tried over the last 4 months to try and shift it but I think the nice weather has gave me the push, nothing worse than having nothing fitting you when the sun is out!!

Been on site and it says 3 days for attack, can you stay on longer?

I know i will prob get info from books but getting impatient

Going to pop to get the oatbran later today, will start Wed as I have 3 easy days after that :)

Any tips more than welcome, especially for lunches, i always struggle with time then and usually skip or just have a sandwich :sigh:

***HI AND WELCOME***

****you can stay on longer 5 day isnt too bad but people crave their veg by then and it can be a time that you fail or get into it fully ******

****make sure its oatbran not oats *******

****i was like you ...now its pieces of chicken ad beef cubes , muffins you can have dukan bread if you love sarnies , you will come very inventive with food******

At your current weight, three days' attack will be plenty :)

Hi and welcome.:)

I did 3 days attack (have lost 20 lb or so) and that was plenty - you'll be more than ready for some veg after that. Some people do attack phase for longer, it depends on how much weight there is to lose.

You can still have sandwiches for lunch - make yourself Dukan bread (you'll find the recipe in stickies at the top). I like eggs for lunch - in all forms. Quick and easy (and transportable depending on how they are cooked). Also good to have some cooked chicken in the fridge for attack so that you can grab it and chew whenever you are hungry (cook a couple at a time and freeze one - once portioned up).

Dairy is unlimited during attack, so you can fill up on 0% fromage frais/quark too. Make sure you read the ingredients on yogurt before buying - it's easy to slip up and buy 0% fat but with sugar.

Can't remember what I relied on in the early days, chicken and eggs mainly. I got bored of steak very quickly, I seem to remember, so probably ate a lot of that to start with too.

Good luck!

Thanks guys I am actually really motivated, looked at the recipe section and I am actually suprised, quite like the thought of being able to have 'bread' ;)

Can I just ask, what kind of sweetener does everyone use?

I have quark in fridge and plenty of chicken and eggs, just the oatbran I need :)

I may start tomorrow if hubby is rehearsing tomorrow evening, as i can go to bed early :) not doing carbs for next couple of days so hope it may help with the yucky feeling, although with cambridge I went into ketosis quite easily although I came out of it just as easy lol

i use which ever is on offer sweetener wise , dukan says aspatimine (SP) is safe in his opinion ........... i use tescos own and canderal in a jar if its on offer

I usually use candarel (or similar) tablets for yogurt, etc or a liquid one for baking. I don't think it makes much difference.

I use whatever sweetner Ive liberated from a coffee place most recently.
So sweet n low, candarel or splenda.

good luck on Dukan..nice to have some more north easteners on here ;)

Good luck! Post some menus, and get a diary opened!

Welcome!
