If I was going to recommend something to anyone just starting out on LL this would be one of them. I started out and did about two weeks at the beginning of foundation. Then I stopped, and boy do I wish I hadn't. I have started it up again now but there are so many things that have happened during foundation that I wish I had made notes of because I am convinced that if I had them to refer back to development would be easier.

Also there are some really awesome blogs around Mrs L and Ceruleans make fantastic reading.

So even if you are not a journal/diary writer, which I am not, it is certainly worth doing.
