Who have you backed in the Grand National?

I love horse racing and especially the big events.

I only ever back a horse or two in the National never any other race and have my short list made out and ready to pick my final 2.

We both really fancy Hello Bud, Don't push it, What a Friend, Royal Rosa, Vic Venturi, Big Fellah Thanks but have to cut it down to just 2. I want to be really daft and back a horse called Santas Son as we have our dog Santa. He is 150/1 and in the write up about him it says," will only win if all the others fail" poor thing !!! Yes,I have to have 2€ each way on him poor soul.

We will be glued to the television when we get home from work tomorrow, thank goodness we are an hour in front of the U.K. so we will see the race.

Good luck to any fellow punters !!!

We did a sweep in work and I have 'Character building' - I think it was a message from above about my weight loss journey!!!

Good luck!!

Big Fella Thanks, Killyglen, Comply or Die & Bluesea cracker for me & H is having Or Noir de Somoza & Majestic Concorde.

You can never tell with the Grand National so you never know Sue XXX

I've just placed a bet on Oscar Time - purely because that was the name of my old doggy! xx

We have backed Bluesea Cracker as well B.B. mainly cos she is a mare and a mare hasn't won the National for 60 years and it is one for girl power. Nice Irish mare.

Also went with Hello Bud, Don't Push It, What a Friend, Vic Venturi, Big Fellah Thanks and of course Santas Son at 150/1 this is what the rotters have said about him..........Expect the unexpected when it comes to Santa’s son – chances are he’ll not make it all the way round......

Every year in the past we have watched it with a red wine in my hand a beer in Paul's'. This year it is a slimline tonic with fresh grapefruit.

Thank goodness for channel 4 plus 1 as Paul has been called out on a service call but will be back to watch it on plus 1.

Same here, I think horse racing is a disgusting sport. In 2009, FIVE of the horses involved in the race died. Horses, whether they're bred for racing or not, should not be used for this kind of sport.

I was called a psycho at work because I refused to join their sweepstake because I don't agree with it. Wonder how the lads would feel if they had to run a around the office with me on their backs? Thankfully karma has stepped in and none of them have won their bets:giggle:
