Asda Wholemeal Pitta

Morning all,

I went to Asda last night and picked up a packet of their wholemeal pitta breads. I looked in my book and it states the Asda pitta's are 55g for a B choice. When I weighed mine it was 58g. Do you think this is still OK for a B choice or should I add a syn on top?

Thanks,

SJ x

I'd just call it a HEB - after all you're allowed 57g of wholemeal bread and it's only 1g over that which in terms of syns is negligible.

I would count it just as a HEB as my consultant saaid as long as its an Asda pitta bread with just Wholemeal flour, water, salt and yeast its the HEB. Hope that helps :D

I really wouldn't worry they are never going to be the exact same shape and size everytime in my pack I had one that was slightly bigger than the others! And as someone else said your allowed 57g anyway!
