Weightloss tablets

I was prescribed xenical (Alli is the over the counter name) and it was awful. How do i put it - well I was 'leaking' oil if you get my drift. Also the stains on the toilet bowl were terrible. I didn't lose any weight either. In my opinion you're better off leaving the tablets alone and just follow a sensible diet plan like SW.

Hi, my advice is the only pounds you will loose on these is the ones out of your purse!
I have used Alli and like the previous poster said, a sanitary towel is essential throughout the day as the fat that isnt absorbed has a habit of "leaking" - (and believe me you daren't fart unless your within 2 meters of a toilet lol)

the thing with alli/xenical is that you need to have a 100% far free diet for them to even have an impact (sorry bad choice of words no pun intended lol!)

Ive used Adios (herbal) and found that once again the only real benefit of these is that they contain dandilion extract which is a natural diuretic so if you have water retention it will help pass this - however it will in turn dehydrate you so you will need to take on board more water, but that will help flush your system through, so it can be a bit of a catch 22 -

but, neither tablet will help you loose fat from your body

alli (when used properly) will prevent fat from going in to your system but it wont help you loose the fat you are already storing

If your wanting to burn fat, the best approach is, a sensible diet and regular cardio workouts to aerobic level when its burning fat - and not pushing yourself to hard as when the heart starts training and you dont loose fat (anerobic).

Hope that helps

Do you mind me asking were you on alli and sw together??

hi - course i dont mind you asking

but no - i tried the Alli about a year ago and followed a strict calorie controlled diet, low/no fat diet which is the recommended way to use the Alli - combined with low impact exercise (walking etc)

the weightloss was NOT significant and was more than likely contributed to the exercise.

I think, (now, i may not be 100% correct on this, so, i apologise in advance if i am wrong) but i think they are probably not going to be compatible with SW because as a diet its so flexible in terms of syns etc (because of any fat content mainly)

Speaking from experience i personally would not use Alli again and the fifty or so quid its gonna cost you, i would put towards a gym membership as you are going to get quicker, and longer term results plus you are going to benefit your overall health as well as your overall metabolism will increase (Alli does not have that function)

also, with alli you need to take a multi vitamin too, as it depletes your body of essential minerals you need to function.

as soon as you stop taking the Alli, the weight will come back on.

hope that helps

So pleased I have read this - I almost reached for the xenical last night after a couple of naughty slips this week but you have saved me! i had forgotten all of the side effects!

pointless waste of money, my advice is stick to plan and drink loads of water, slow but steady is best, and doesn't have the horrid side effects....just a bit of wind instead lol :)
