Weight Training??

Hi there, I am an avid exerciser who is about to embark on Lighterlife Lite this evening for the second time. I tried it before without much success but that was due to me not wanting to give up on my over keen workouts at the time. Things have changed now and I am quite looking forward to spending less time in the gym now. However, although I wish to lose weight (primarily bodyfat) I would like to maintain as much muscle as poss. Just wondering what others have done in relation to any weight training.
Look forward to hearing from you... Bt9Chick :)

Hi there, to be honest, I'd advise very basic exercise during the first few weeks while your body adjusts to the lower calories. I have started walking about an hour and a half a day now, but that isn't really weight training. Sorry, don't think I'm helping much. If you've got a set of half hour training sessions you can do I'd suggest those every other day and then see how you feel-but remember to listen to your body and don't push too hard when you have such limited calorie intake and not many carbs x

Thanks Tilleymonster, Think thats what i'm going to do. I've been looking for an excuse not to got to the gym (20+ years of going and bit fed up now! lol) but always been to scared to take a break in case I put on weight. At least this way it should be a win win situation + i've spoken to one of the instructors there who will keep me in check. I think going on how I feel is the best way forward. :)
