Counting calories and keeping track

I'm wondering how many people on here that have been successfully loosing weight........ actually count their calorie intake and keep track of how many calories they are burning when working out?

I find myself being distracted by the numbers where I feel that its hopeless when dieting and exercising.

Is there anyone that just eats healthy and exercises regularly that has been successfully loosing weight?

I just don't want my life to revolve around counting numbers and weighing myself everyday, etc.... :break_diet:

Hi,

I count calories, but to be honest I don't keep track of the calories I burn in exercise, I just take it as a bonus that I am burning some calories off.
Also when you have weighed your food for a bit, you become used to what a portion looks like, so you don't have to weigh religiously. You also get used to the calories in things you eat regularly, so easy to add up.
Also it is not advisable to weigh yourself every day, but weekly (however I do not practise what I preach :D)

As Karion says pop over to the calorie counting boards and have a look.

I sometimes keep a food record. It's quite a useful thing to do (not just for calorie reasons - I want to know I'm getting enough/not too much fat, protein and carbohydrate). I use Sparkpeople.com because it's free and the site is packed full of useful tools and interesting articles (which are also free).

I've lost about two and a half stone with healthy eating and exercise and kept it off. It is definitely possible :)
