Hello you! Did you manage to take a look at the BBC website and see if you can access iPlayer - this follows on from the White Van Man thread I posted yesterday, I wasn't sure if you'd seen it....

OK, if you're on a computer (which I guess you are now??), google BBC and then when you get to the BBC homepage go down to the bottom of the page and hit TV which takes you to the TV page and then click the iPlayer logo, from there you can watch the BBC programmes online - no special equipment needed.

There shouldn't be any copyright issues hun, people from all over the world use it - let me know how you get on xxx

Oh bother !!!! Have just tried it , got all excited, made DH turn the sound down on what he is watching and it will not let me..........bother, bother it just says " not available in your area "

But thank you so much.

DH says I need an English IP address.how do I get one of those???

I really thought I was going to be a "techy" for a little while there lol !!!

Eek! Sorry hun, Paul is indeed right! I've just done a bit of Googling and you need an UK IP address to access it!

I'm not sure how bothered you are about watching other channels whilst you're in Spain, but I've just seen this website (TV Expat - didn't link it for fear of breaking forum rules) which may be worth you taking a look at if you did want more variety - I've no idea if it's any good, just came up on good 'ole Google! xxx

Every ones best friend.......good old Mr. Google.

Thanks for that I am off to look now.....be back in a tic !!

I t is very cheap D.D. Just 30€ for 3 months or 15€ a month.

We would have to open a Pay-Pal account which we don't have at present but that should not represent a problem.

DH says my laptop might be a bit ancient......my goodness is 5 years old ancient ?? It works perfectly well.

I have 3 megabytes, I think lol !!!

On the FAQ section of the website it may say what spec your computer should be for it to run hun - I'm sure it will be fine but best to check! xxx

Will do.

We already have BBC 1 and ITV and channels 4 and 5 but some not for 24 hours a day and lots of channels not at all so it could be a great investment especially if we want to watch different things.

Thanks again

hugs xxx

*Geek hat on* fillymum - if you routed your web traffic through a uk web security supplier you'd be able to access it. Someone like webroot would be able to do it for a cost.
**Geek hat firmly back in cupboard**

Thanks Hilary. Will try that now.

Blooming éck !!! that one is only 5euros a month. Haven't read it all yet but I will.......thanks !!!
