What am i doing wrong?!!

Help!! The weight is slowly creeping back up on me!! So now not only do i have to lose the last half a stone i wanted to lose to hit my goal weight but also the 8 or so pounds ive put on!!
Iv started PP and i exercise a lot!! about 7 gym classes a week on average. But i dont think anything is happening!

I used to do the old plan, and my meals havent really changed. I still eat the same things i was then as i was being healthy then, only now i obviously point them with the Pro points system.

Most days i dont use all my propoints, even though I eat three decent meals a day.
I dipped into my weeklies yesterday very slightly.
Im not drinking much alcohol.

Whats going on!?????! :((( xxx

Sounds like youre not eating enough. How many points a day are you short?? The fact youre not using all your points, youre exercising every day and by the sounds of it not using your weekly points it sounds like youre not eating as much as you should be.

If WW say you need a certain number of points a day you really do need to have them, as youre seeing first hand, eating less doesnt mean losing more

I actually struggle to eat them all.
I could have a snack I suppose to use up the last few but i dont want to fall into the trap of having a bad snack of crisps or chocolate etc just so that I use up all my points. Id rather have them as a treat every now and again instead.

I can have 29 daily PP

My typical food diary (generally on a week day! Varies over the weekend) is....

Breakfast
2xWeetabix - 3pp
No Fat Milk - 2pp (i count my whole daily milk allowance here for cups of tea etc)
1tsp sugar - 0.5 pp

Mid morning snack
Grapes or apple

Lunch
2 x bread - 5pp
smidgen of butter - 1pp
1 slice thin slice 97% Fat free ham - 1pp
tomato, cucumber.

sometimes have an afternoon snack of another slice of fruit eg plum, apple, grapes etc

Dinner
depends if im having a late night at the gym
If i hit the gym il just have a WW lasagne (9PP) (or similar WW meal) and some vegies as its too late to cook,

Or if i have the time to cook - Vegie or prawn or chicken stir fry etc

So i eat well...just doesnt want to shift!! :(

yesterday i did dip into my weeklies...i had a kit kat (3pp i think??), and a teeny piece of frozen battered fish (about 5pp?) and about 4 oven chips (est 4pp as was only a few) that my OH was cooking. So i had all my dailies and think iv probably over estimated at 10 weeklies. But id rather that than under estimate.

ps iv cut out Fizzy drinks. I only have about 3 cups of tea a day now and water.
I keep 'bad' snacks to a minimum.

I live close to the city so i walk to and from work 5 days a week. Which is 20 mins each way and im a brisk walker.

This week my gym activity consisted of:
Monday: Step Class - 45min
Zumba - 45min
Tuesday: Spin Class - 45min
Wednesday: Step Class - 45 min
Thursday : None
Today will be an ab class and then i will do some weights and do 5k on the treadmill.
Saturday will be same as above
Sunday: Off

My gym has been a bit over the place this week - i normally have much more variety in my classes I do Body attack, Ki Max, Body Combat, Step and Spin usually. Try to mix it up a bit. do about 7 or 8 classes a week averaging at 45 mins each!

Whats going on :((( xx

Have you taken your measurements? I got my yearly (18 month one for me though) check at the gym a few days ago, and i'm heavier than the last time but have lost amazing inches. They say it's just the muscle. I feel it in my clothes as clothes that were tight on me at 10stone a year and a half ago fit me perfect now. Strange :)

Hi i dont go to a gym so im not sure but could you be burning more calories but not replacing enough with food, are you drinking enough too. sorry i dont think that sounds right:eek:

if you are exercising a lot the chances are you are developing slight muscle which is dense, and still losing fat. Keep at the exercise though!! The more muscle you have the better, because muscle needs calories to exist - you will get through this it might just be a phase your body has to go through, and you should see the benefits if you keep at it :)

As starlight says you are definitely not eating enough... if you are eating too little for too long your body adapts to it and then only needs what you've been feeding it. You really need to plan your day to fill your quota of daily points. Weeklies aren't so important but dailies definitely are. I wouldn't say eat for the hell of it, just organise your meals - like incorporating semi skimmed milk in your diet rather than fully skimmed etc

Personally I've found that changing what I eat on a daily basis makes a huge difference. Like one day I might have a "big" breakfast (2 tesco pancakes, golden syrup and banan at 7pp) one day, then swap it round for something lower (like a yog and fruit, or porridge) and change all of my meals each day. It seems to wake up my metabolism, and apart from that it keeps me from getting bored!!

I don't think that ww emphasizes the benefits of eating different food every day enough! Theres no way you can lose weight if you eat the same thing day in day out. My mum did exactly that and her weight stalled for ages.

And keep yourself really hydrated! If you lose weight, and aren't hydrating, water goes into the fat storage cells (in a panic of not having enough) and you still stay the same weight.

Congrats. Thats is great :)

That's brilliant ur hard work and determination is paying off

well done :D All my life i had this thought i had to eat less and i mean less to lose weight but when i started the propoint plan i was terrified i would gain, it took my body a while to get into gear and start losing. so hopefully this is the start of your journey to a good weight loss :D

Well done on your loss!!

And your exercise schedule is inspiring! I only manage 2 classes a week (if that!) and really need to step it up a gear!

Thanks guys! Really over the moon! Didnt feel as if my body was changing at first! But just goes to show that you just need to stick at it!
Absolutley determined to shift a stone in 13 weeks now. I WILL do it!!

Lauryn, I absolutley love the gym! I doubt very much that I would be able to keep up with my current gym schedule if I was back home in the UK! But at the moment im in Sydney for a few months and saving to travel...so have heaps of free time whilst im saving all my pennies...so i spend heaps of time working out!
I feel amazing for it...so much more energy, generally chirpier.

One good week down....on to the next one! xxx

Wow lucky you!! I love the gym too, but only once I'm actually there and working out!! It's the whole getting up & going that's my actual problem :-/ but after hearing how it helps u with your weight loss and feelings in general, I'm going to kick myself up the arse and straight to the gym :D haha!

Good luck this week, hope to hear it's been another amazing one! x
