Hi,

First day on this forum.

Been with SW since 23rd Feb lost 9lbs, feel im struggling now and wantng to give up. I am craving chocolate and bad food. have been bad today and dont feel i can get back on the horse. I see people in this forum are losing 6lbs in 1 class what am i doing wrong...help is it cause im i don't eat fruit. I hate fruit. :break_diet::cry:

You don't have to eat fruit if you don't like it (although there are so many lovely fruits it seems a pity) - it's not compulsory.

Superfree is fruit and vegetables - take your pick.

I don't think the majority of us are losing 6lb in a weigh in very often but even if lots were you could still take it one step or pound or half a pound along your way! But as you have lost 9lbs since 23rd Feb I'd say you were doing alright!
Do you or could you do a diary so people could advise you? Your syns are there for treats so you can have chocolate or whatever else you choose to have and still be on plan.
As suggested could you eat more veg as superfree? or what fruits do you like or do you not like any? You may be better off following the original or green plans?
There are lots of options within sw so don't struggle try and find the right way for you! :)

Exactly, I dont do ee because although I lovvvveee fruit, I dont like veg and salad, so do the red and green days instead. To lose 6 lbs every week is not realistic and many people in my group on ee are only losing about 1 - 1.5 lbs a week anyway. I am losing average 1lb, but dont mind, I am losing and enjoying my food, you have to enjoy it otherwise you would give up. If its a struggle, look at your book and try another plan for a day and see how you get on.

Lots of great advice already but just wanted to add don't forget what your syns are for - if you fancy some chocolate then have some! There are loads of smallish bars that you could choose from every day or save the syns for a bigger bar once or twice a week but whatever you do don't deny yourself completely or you'll go insane and fall off the wagon altogether!!

Hello,
I have been on EE for 3 weeks. Lost 3.5 measly pounds so far. Am really enjoying cooking again ( am an ex WW gal who had got too used to ready meals!!!!!! ). We are eating really well but the weight loss is sooooooo slow. I eat a lot of fruit - maybe too much???? And I'm only having alcohol once a week and even then I'm not using all my syns. Really don't know if I'm doing things right or wrong -didn't find me leader all that good really and find the whole ethos of free foods a bit confusing - aaaaaarrrrgggh. Will stick with it though as have paid for 12 weeks, so another 8 to go

Yes please stay with it, it really is worth it and as you say if you have bought a 12 week countdown well its a lot of money. Could you see your c and explain to her the next time you W I that you are a bit confused and see if she can point you in the right direction. After all, that is her job, makes me so cross when I hear people having experiences like yours. I went to S W years ago and my c then wasnt a patch on the one I have now! If you dont get any joy with her/him then you always have this forum with loads of help etc. You may find that your c isnt aware of your difficulties. Good luck this week with your W I

Just how is 3.5lbs weight loss in 3 weeks so very slow? it sounds spot on to me!

If you are unsure of what you are eating why not post your food diary on here and we will take a look. And as said, make the most of the consultant as that is what s/he is there for. :)

Totally agree with everything circes says! I am only losing average 1lb a week, but am more than happy with that. After all, it has taken a long time to go on, and I am really enjoying the meals recipes etc. Think S W meals personally are a lot better than ready made meals as well. Please try to carry on, yr doing very well!

Oh thanks Hollys nan and Circes for your positive replies. It does seem slow when you hear about all the amazing losses that people have. I know it's not a competition but it can be disheartening when you've had a really good week and you only lose half a pound.
Anyway, am sticking with it as I feel really great, am eating so well. Thanks for the support :) :)

ive lost 23 1/2 pounds since jan 1st and am losing around 1 to 1.5 pounds a week you have to let your body catch up to your weight loss if it came off too fast you'd have a lot of loose un toned skin. take it day by day, week by week you'll be amazed just what a difference it can make. a loss is a loss no matter how big or small and remember every loss makes you SMALLER!
Good luck hun keep at it and you'll be fine xxx :D

Thanks Hon,
It's great to feel so supported. Just read a post by a lady who has lost 16.5 lbs in 3 weeks - eeek. I've already lost approx 3 stones on WW but have about a stone and a half to go. I feel ut comes off quicker with WW but got really sick of buying all their branded products as they were easier to point up. Prefer SW but as I say it feels slow. But as everyone says at least it's a loss, no matter how small. WI on Wed - wish me luck xx:)
:)

Well done Princess Nicky, and I think you'll see I never said your tummy was or would be saggy:sigh:. You've had an amazing weight loss and must be very proud. My loss is a lot slower and this can be a bit disheartening at times:sigh:.
Well done and keep up the great work:)
