Yeah....real chicken!!

Went to ASDA today. Was looking for some frozen chicken breast.

Found the sign for Fish and Chicken (good start....or so I thought).

Found chicken burgers, chicken fingers, chicken in breadcrumbs, chicken in batter, chicken shaped chicken, chicken fingers, microwaveable chicken, oven cook chicken, barbequed chicken, chicken in sweet and sour sauce, chicken curry, chicken that has so many preservatives that it will still be edible in the year 4632.

Chicken stirfry, chicken nuggets, chicken with cracked pepper (careless ), southern fried chicken, chilli chicken etc etc

I just wanted chicken So I find a very nice young man in a green uniform.

Me: Excuse me, could you tell me where the chicken is.
Nice Young man: Yeah...over there (pointing to where I've just looked)
Me: Chicken with everything over there. I just want chicken. You know...chicken with ....ummmm....chicken?
NYM: Oh, I'm not sure we have that. Who makes it?
Me: Mummy and Daddy chicken?



Did find it in the end under "Lamb"

This did make me laugh

I know what you mean though, sometimes we are just spoiled for choice and can't find the simple food.

So true. Sometimes I feel like an alien walking around the shops

OMG - I know they say lots of kids don't know that bacon comes from pigs etc, but not knowing what a raw chicken is ...... And I assume this was someone technically an adult if they were working there.

So much for education, education, education

Glad you found the real stuff in the end at least :clap:
