Red Days where to look for red day ideas ??

Hi :) I am starting SW again after being on the cambridge diet for a while , I am starting on red days as know i dont cope with carbs very well and retain water like a sponge .. but I am struggling to find recipes and ideas for red days !!
I have the origanal recipe book but it seems to be the only one , all of the others seem to be for EE and even the magasine doesnt seem to cater for us

any ideas where i can look ??

thanks in advance

The new magazine has green & original days, and all the other cook books include red and original syn values (except the specifically extra easy ones)

Try having a look in the 2 diary sections, there are a few of us doing Red days.

Roast veg is my best friend. Butternut squash, mushrooms, cherry toms, red peppers. I can do anything with this. I even put bolognese sauce on top. It's really nice. Sometimes I mix pasta through the veg or roast chickpeas in with them.

Today is a red day for me and tonight we are having Goulash I substitute the pots in it for mushrooms. It tastes just as good.

Then we are having new pots in skin (heb) pre boiled and cut in small slices fried in frylight with leeks and bacon.

The good thing about carbs on a red day is they are controlled. I Don't deprive myself of them or I would find red days difficult to stick to.

With red you have to be a little more creative I feel. I do extra easy a couple of times a week just to shake things up.

I think there are a lot of recipes that can be adapted to red days you just have to know the foods you can have. Thats why I think its important to read and re read the books we get.

Good luck.

Ps I followed you on CD .....wow x :D

thanks ellebear .. I did have a look at your diary yesterday as it says red .. but just saw a few pages of EE so I think I need to read a bit further !!

Soccermom - thanks ..I have had roasted veg with every meal so far this week .. and used BNS a lot :D Its lunchs i struggled with I think .. apart from omelettes .... and what can I take to work ? are there any free soups like mug shots that are free on red ?? I love cup a soups ...

You could take a look in my diary too, as I've done quite a lot of red days (the last few days have been green as I'm skint and have had to just use up whatever I've got in my cupboards!)

However, I don't really eat any red meat, it's mostly fish, chicken and Quorn, so I appreciate my plan might not be to everyone's taste :D
