Slimming World all the way!

Well done on your weight loss so far - if you enjoy eating good portions with lots of variety without feeling guilty then check out the SW website its fab. ive been on/off SW for around 11 years and particularly if you cook at home it is very satisfying. If you want a little more info or have any questions, dont hesitate! Whatever you do decide to do.. good luck!!

Lol. So those are the two main options really - a diet where you have a fixed amount of something, be it points or calories, or a diet where your food choices are restricted in some way but you can eat as much as you want of those choices.

What sort of dieter are you? Do you like the idea of being able to have anything (albeit maybe in smaller portions) or do you like the idea of being able to eat lots of specific types of food?

I've been looking at doing the GL diet it's a step on from the GI diet, seems easy to follow, my mums doing it right now. It's low carb but carbs aren't the enemy :) you can still have plenty. It keeps your blood sugar level and stops those cravings and hunger pangs, that can be the undoing of us dieters. Good luck with whatever you choose!! Xx

I did cambridge for 4 months mainly on 810 and lost about 2stone, I missed food so bad that I decided to invest the money spent on CD to spending it on two personal training sessions a week and have just completed 10 weeks, I can now run on treadmill continuous for 10 mins and do 60mins on cross-trainer, I have lost tons of inches and have lost 3 stone overall, I'm careful with my food and the binges have stopped even if I have a bad day my first thought isn't to turn to food, infact I just listen to my saddest songs and have a good cry!!! I still have a couple of CD products the water flavourings, and veg drink, I use the water flavourings to make a batch of 4 jelly puds!!! I love those!! I also don't eat bread, I have three ryvita's for lunch with 40g of soft cream cheese. I also every week make sure I have roast dinner with my family, I just have meat, veg and three small roast pots, no yorkshire puds, and a small bit of gravy :) It's very important that you don't overeat or you may start to put on weight quite quickly, it took five weeks to stabulise my weight before I started losing some weight, and I lost a stone in 10 weeks off cambridge, good luck!!! and don't return to old habits!!

Having tried both WW and SW, I say slimming world is the least restrictive. With no weighing food etc. More filling.

:D:Doo thank u ladies its so lovely you have taken the time to reply, i do think execise is the way forward i plan to go the gym everyother nite and ive joined wobble {power plates} which i do everyother day so its just the diet now

I did slimming world 3 years ago and lost 3.5 stone over a year, it was fab i ate loads but right now Cambridge is the only thing working for me right now and its the quickest way! xx

I vote for SW too!

I used it about 6 or 7 years ago - and I lost 2stone.

It's going to be my back up diet (Beck) in case I fall off the wagon - or decide I can't face another shake! I will also be sticking to the principles to help maintain.

I've lost 2 stone 4lb doing SW, it took me 2 years though (though to be fair, I fell off track a few times) it's very unrestrictive. I'm doing it the opposite way, I want to blast off the last bit quickly with CD!

The 'Rosemary Conley' one seems quite sensible to follow long term and the class include exercise as well as weigh ins.
