Cooking with wine?

Hello everyone

Just wondering if anyone else cooks with wine and how you would include that in your syns.

The recipe I have always used for spaghetti bolognese is our fave. I replaced the olive oil with frylite and the rest of the sauce is free except for the 200ml of red wine. The alcohol cooks off so not sure if you would count the whole sins?

According to the SW site 250ml red wine is 8.5 syns on all plans. The recipe serves 4 so 2.5 syns per serving? (rounded up!)

I know there a million other recipes out there but this one is the best one imo :)

Sorry but the wine has to be synned as per usual - the alcohol burns off but the sugar remains.

Thanks! It's not a lot really split between four. Especially as the rest is free!

Yep, I do the same and it really does make a difference. I also use some brandy in my stroganoff. ;)
