Starbucks Perfect Porridge

Morning,

Wondered if anyone could help me I rushed out of the house late this morning without breakfast and ended up having to think quick on my feet about getting something on way in to work. Knew if I didn't have breakfast I would end up starving and doing something silly later in the day.

I typically do green days with a few EE or red days thrown in when required and typically use an HEX B for my breakfast.

So ended up getting a Perfect Porridge from Starbucks made up with skimmed milk. Anyone know the syn value of this? Could I use an Healthy Extra B for the oats and just syn the skimmed milk? Any help would be appreciated.

Just want to make sure I keep within my syns!

oh and just to note (as forgot) didn't have the honey or dried fruit with it just the oats with skimmed milk.

How much oats were in the porridge? I bet there was a lot more than 28g.
Did it have any sugar?
YOu could use A and B choice but there'd be some syns involved for the extra oats.
I looked on my porridge box today and the recommended portion size is 50g!!!

According to the Starbucks website, the porridge made with skimmed milk (but with dried fruit) is 293 cals. So this is 15 syns.
By my reckoning, you could deduct 6 syns for the porridge (28g worth) and 6 for the milk (assuming there were 350ml skimmed milk?) and use your A and B choice which leaves 3 syns which may well be the dried fruit which you didn't have.

I would say though that there were more than 28g oats and less than 350ml milk, so it gets complicated!

There you go though. 15 syns for the porridge with dried fruit, up to you how you A and B choice/syn it hun!!!

Thanks Jaylou.

It was quite a small portion but like you say may have been more than 28g. Definitely not 350ml of milk in it - was very dry and I was spying round the corner whilst they were making it. Would estimate 200ml max.

Working on the basis of the 15 syns then will minus 6 for my Healthy Extra B (28g of oats) and minus about 3 as I didn't have the dried fruit. Not counting the milk as my Healthy Extra A so was thinking of putting down about 6 syns to be on the safe side.
