Really need support

I've had a weekend off, very bad and a big mistake I know. I had 2 days off 2 weeks ago too and it took me a week to get back on track and I lost 1lb in 2 weeks if you take into account the gain and loss.

Anyway I've tried to get back on track today, was doing really well until my Son didn't want his savoury cheese sandwich and before I knew it I'd eaten that and his quavers. He doesn't usually eat things likes this but I had to grab him something on way back from swimming.

Anyway, I need to set myself a challenge and get back into abstinence and stick with I would like to loose another stone before my Sisters hen do in Barcelona on 30th April.

My trouble is I struggle to stay at class as I have little childcare and my 20 month old Son will not sit quietly if I took him with me. If I weigh in on thur and have gained I fear it will send me off track again.

Hi there,
Can I ask why you went for the lighterlife diet? I only ask because your start weight is pretty close to mine, I have a young son and I dismissed this diet because the thought of having to make it for a meeting every week and fit that around my son and work etc seemed like something I wouldn't stick out as I would feel too pressured.
A diet I tried a few years ago involved the organiser calling me weekly taking my measurements and weight, offering encouragement and dealing with any queries over the phone. Maybe you could ask if they could offer this service with you? It would take the stress off a bit as you wouldn't be worrying about what to do with your children whilst you go to meetings, or what anyone would think if you didn't manage to lose any that week. I think you'll find just removing that stress will stop you craving snacks and nibbling at things you feel you shouldn't.
Hope this is helpful :)

I decided on lighterlife for the faster results, the CBT to help realise why I'm over weight and were I go wrong and because all food is taken out of the equation.

I have done it before but didn't get all the way and didn't do the rtm.

I must add that were moving house at the min although new place now won't be ready for another month and my business is struggling so it's easier at the mum for me to blame the stress.

I visited family at the weekend for my granddad 70th which is why I went off plan.

That is a lot of stress, no wonder you're craving snacks!
A friend of mine did the lipotrim, which I guess is a similar thing, and he said it was great but he was glad he lives on his own so he could take all food out of the house, it must be hard when you have other people living with you, temptation is always there.
Maybe you should try speaking to the organiser of the weekly meetings and see if you can do it over the phone, at least until you have moved house, at least thats one less stressful event a week. :)

to be honest, I found the lipotrim much harder than this. With LL you have far more variety of shakes, soups and bars. This diet "way of living" is one of the toughest out there, and its really hard to stick to.
There's only me and my husband in the house and even at that I find it difficult.

Just try your best, and one blip never hurt anyone, just get back in the car and pass your test!!
(fed up of the saying get back on the horse) lol

With so much stress and events going on - maybe deep down you're just not emotionally ready to continue this right now? Remember, your peace of mind is the most important thing. Your BMI is not too high, it seems nearer the average of most people to be honest. I think by putting extra pressure to lose weight via such an extreme diet - when you NEED as much energy as possible to deal with the every day - you may just be asking too much of yourself.

Dieting can be done when you're ready for it, LL won't go anywhere! I think concentrate on getting back on your feet, getting back to a happy place mentally, find some time for yourself. You don't need the additional guilt of 'lapsing' and falling into destructive cycles right now!
You can always try the Cambridge Diet if you're very worried. Their counsellors are very experienced people from what I've heard - but there is no weekly meeting like Lighter Life has, plus it's cheaper!

Good luck and be strong. :) You're not alone! xx
