My name is Stuart and a little chubbly and I need to get rid of it. This looks like a positive place to start. I see a lot of support here and that's basically what I need.

I currently weigh around 18 stones. I haven't always been big but quitting smoking punished me about 8 years ago and I put 7 stones on. Now I am too ashamed to look at myself in the mirror and I don't feel comfortable with myself naked to let the wife anywhere near me. Sad but true.

I am 33 next week and want to make a new birthday a new start.

I've done Slimming World and it was very good and I lost weight but its gone back on as I couldn't afford to keep going. It wasn't the diet that made me lose weight (well it was), it was going to the meetings every week and getting the round of a applause for losing 1lb or 2lb or 3lb etc. THAT is why I did it and I benefited from my own sick desire to compete.

Hi you can ask your doctor to give you a referal to slimming world you get 12 weeks free and if you meet there target you get another 12 weeks and so on thats what im on youmay as well get a bit back of the tax man good luck any way

Hi, I'm doing SW but by myself as I had the stuff from years ago. There are no classes where I live so don't have a choice. I gave up smoking around 8 years ago and have been battling with my weight since so understand what that is like. Good luck :D

Hi mate another 2.5 stone i hope going to turky in aug need to get in my mankini lol dont want to be looked at for all the wrong reasons lol

Haha!! Mankini love it!!!!..... So what you been doing?... I struggle for inspiration etc when I'm raring to go I'm too busy and when I'm free I can't be bothers lol

Hi mete stay on track it gets better after a few weeks les cravings im dooing sw ee realy works for me i did red and green last time and found it hard what you doing

Hi I have had a really upsetting two weeks and have gone off the rails, thankfully though I actually haven't put weight on so that is something!! Will start again Wednesday!!

Been ok. Thanks we all get bad times its about the jurnet not the week get straight back on it yoll be ok i stayed the same this week to so can get back on it together lol

Thanks :D Wednesday didn't happen but tomorrow is the planned day now and Sunday back to exercise. Needed the comfort food and feel better for it :)
