ketosis

Wednesday. :D :D

Sorry, couldn't resist. Sensible answer? Usually between day 3 and 4 for those people who were happily munching lots of carbs right up to starting Cambridge. For those people who were already eating a reduced amount of carbs or swapped immediately from another low calorie diet to Cambridge - maybe within a day or two

It depends to some extent, as usual, on how much weight you have to lose in the first place and whether you were on another diet. If you were already on a reduced calorie diet, you'll already have lowered glycogen stocks so it won't take as long to use them up and start burning fat.

The average person, fully carbed-up, has around 2000 calories worth of glycogen stored in their liver and muscles. So once you've burned those up, you move into ketosis.

You're on Day 4 aren't you? And I think I read that you felt as though you had energy today? Probably means you are in ketosis already - that 'having energy' feeling is a classic sign of being in ketosis for many people. :)
