Hi,
In my first week of SW. Have previously done WW and lost 4 stone but have almost a stone and a half of that back on.

I decided to come to SW as several friends have really good losses and find it easier to maintain.

I just am finding it hard to adjust to the amount I can eat. With regards to free food, I just feel like Im eating so much and wonder how I can lose??

Yesterday i had -

Breakfast - 2 apples and 2xAlpen Light Bars HEXB

Lunch - Baked pot with beans and a massive salad. and a Muller Light

Dinner - Pasta and Sauce - 1/2 syn and loads stirfried veg

Snacks - grapes Curly Wurly (6 syns) Starbucks skinny latte (HExA)

I think its just hard because I tended to cut out quite a bit of carbs on WW so its strange being able to eat them again.

Has anyone been in a similar position. Just can't imagaine how I can lose?

Welcome, GingerJo! I've been doing SW for two months now, and I still find it hard to believe that I can eat the hearty portion sizes I'm eating and still lose weight - but it really works! Your meal plan for yesterday sounds fine to me.

from someone who has done WW in the past, the main thing you need to do is forget about points altogether and don't worry too much about your portion sizes, SW is not as restrictive as WW in regards to portions, because all the free foods are generally low in calories.

The one thing you need to make sure you are doing though, is make a 1/3 of your plate at meal times superfree foods (superfree foods are all fruit (except advocado's) and all veg (except parsnips, sweetcorn, peas, potatoes).

What this does it automatically controls your portions of the other free foods ,like carbs and proteins with out the need for any weighing of foods.

The only foods that are restricted are of course your syns and healthy extras.

You can eat from the free foods list unlimited (until satisfied, try not to eat just because it is free).

Also make your first choice for snacks between meals, a superfree food. However if you don't feel satisfied on just that, then you can have something more substantial from the free foods list or by using your syns.

Lastly, trust the diet, it really does work and is as easy as it's name ;)

Also perhaps post a daily food diary in the food diary section, so members can check for you in the first couple of weeks, just till you get used the plan and that way can point out any areas you may be going wrong.

Good luck!!
