Hello,

I'm 19 year old female, at 179cm and, and 6 months ago I went to the doctors for a routine check-up, and the doctor told me that I had a BMI of 31 making me clinically obese. This came as a massive shock to me - I've never been called fat, or worried about my weight. I think I carry my weight well so I'd never worried.

This shocked me so much I decided then and there I'd get healthy. I have gone from 15st 5, to 13st 3 in 6 months. I feel healthier, and better in myself, going from a UK dress size of 18 to a 12. The thing is..I look in the mirror and still feel really fat. I'm like an angel with my diet because I feel so big and that I have to lose more, even though I know that I look okay at the moment. Has anyone else suffered from this?

I'm also struggling to come to terms with the fact I can eat a bit more calorie-wise than I have been to level off my weight-loss and maintain a healthy weight, but I don't know how to address what I eat and get the right intake to stay the weight I am.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

i dont really have any advice but i just wanted to say WELL DONE!!! seriously that is great! xx

I would like to chime in and say WELL DONE also! That is awesome to have lost that! I know what you mean about not being able to see the weight loss, im not at the end of journey yet, but I still cant see the two stone I have lost. I think we need to take it slowly and tell ourselves that we've done an awesome job and this is for us! As to leveling off, do you calorie count?
If so you could increase your calories by a few every week to find a good level for you, its the same with weight watchers, you have to increase your points until you stop losing weight, and sometimes people increase too much, so then they have to bring it down again.
Good luck! :)
