Hi Guys - I know you are all fab at coming up with delish recipes and I thought that maybe you could all help me out with my current situation.

I am having my kitchen done at the moment - extension and new kitchen - currently the only thing in there is a wasking machine.

I have a slow cooker, a toaster, kettle, microwave.

Can anyone suggest anything to cook that isnt pasta sauces??? I cant eat another - I should be given shares in batchelors!!!

xx

How about the cous cous? Just add water or mug shots?

Jacket potato in microwave with beans? Salads?

Thanks, I've tried jacket potatoes but they were hard in the middle and not as nice as when they are in the oven.

Cous cous definitely sounds like a plan - Ill get some tomorrow - what flavours do you recommend?

I generally buy the non flavoured and make it up with veg stock instead of jus plain water. Add a few of ur fav spices and veg! Nice and quick an easy ;)

I do a nice mexican bean sandwich filling that is easy. Heat a tin of kidney beans and their juices in the microwave until done. Drain, mash and stir in chopped coriander, tomato and spring onion. Season with tabasco, salt and pepper. I like mine in wholemeal pitta. Also goes nicely with rice if you can get hold of those microwaveable rice packs.

I know Fry's vegetarian sausages can be done in the microwave. Chuck some potato waffles in the toaster, do some beans in the microwave and maybe some salad on the side?

Asda do tinned chickpea dal, and Sainsburys do a nice vegetarian tinned bolognese. These are all syn free.

Veggies can be done in the microwave, so maybe find some quorn something to go with them. Or steam them with some tofu and cover with soy sauce.

Smash isn't like the real thing but can be done quickly with the kettle. Couscous is quick and easy too, I like the lemon and coriander one Sainburys do. I have mine with falafel, they can be eaten cold so no cooking there. Toasted sandwiches with your B section for the bread would be good too.

Hope this helps!
