Day 14...Fresh start: red diary: :)

soccermom

I AM A WEMITT x
Well things have got out of control since january and i am totally fed up with the pattern I find myself in again.

So from tomorrow here I go again knowing that in my heart and mind this is the plan for me.

Last year I won women of the year for my class and miss slinky and looking at it now I feel I have wasted those titles. As I no longer am

Since january I have started and failed and started and failed, but after reading someones post today (sorry I cant remember who but i will look you up again shortly) her words hit home about how I have been feeling and I feel ready to seriously start again.

I am no longer at class as wednesdays no longer suit my timetable because of my sons footballing schedule so for the time being i'm on my own apart from this great site.

My sister is following exante (its not for me) and she is so far doing ok but I dont want to do that so I have to make this work.

I have deleted all my weightloss from before and ammended my satistics but in all honesty I do not know how much I weigh as my scales are broken and they are way out but they will give me an idea if I am going in the right direction, until I can weigh in on some decent scales.

So heres to tomorrow. Bring it on.

:whip:

Ps I have the jillian michaels shred DVD I will start that to, heaven help me

Day 1 and a red day and my first day of Jillian's shred.

Whoever put the thought in my head that this was a good idea was sorely mistaken  I feel like crap after doing that :D

I have been going do the gym for nearly 9 months and this is the most worked out I have ever felt.

After watching all those america BL shows I now understand why they feel sick after working out.

Anyway thoughts are positive about this new start and i'm breaking this journey up into lb goals my first goal is to lose 42lbs.

Also i'm sticking to 3 meals a day and aiming to drink 2 litres of water a day. I know sometimes when I am bored I start to crave snacks even though i'm not hungry, water definitely stops this.

If I eat enough at meal times with maybe fruit or something to follow I should not feel hungry between meals.

Syns will be used towards meals with the exception possibly of the weekend where if I want I will have a "treat" of choc or similar. I know crisps of any description are a trigger so I will try to avoid them.

will update with the food diary later.

100%

Well day 1 went well and i'm looking forward to doing day 2, it all seems so much better when the sun is shining. Lets hope it lasts as I want to go to the shops for a couple of bits and pieces.

Tea was made up of leftovers and some morrisons 1/2 syn sausage.

I took the skin off the sausages and made them into small patties/meatballs to fry and then throw in with some Gordan Ramsey spicy pepper and (chorizo type) sausage pasta sauce, with some extra bits it was lovely I may have it again for lunch :D

In fact the whole days food was what was in the cupboards and fridge so lunch was a bit of a buffet :D

I have pinched this idea from Capricorn and I really hope she doesn't mind. I never liked doing my food list as I have previously and this seems so much better i'm a bit of a list freak so this appeals to me.

Bacon
mushrooms
fried egg
1 hovis nimble bread 1/2 heb
1 tsp brown sauce 0.5 syns
28g cheese 1 hea
tuna
2 crispbakes 3 syns
tomato
2 plums
banana
35g dried wholewheat spaghetti 1 heb
brocoli
sausages 1.5 syns
mushrooms
GR sauce 100g 4 syns

2 litres of water

So today I had 9 syns, however, having just wrote that up I see I have only had 1.5 hebs whoops.

Feeling more contented about being back on plan I seem so much more in control of things when I have made a firm decision about something.

Heres to Day 2 and lovely Jillian to keep me company x

Good morning!!!

Its another day in the sw household. Just busy planning my shopping list and menu planner for when I go shopping Saturday morning.

I have lots of new recipes to try and i'm looking forward to trying them.

The must have recipe for the week is LEMON CAKE my absolute favourite. I have just found a recipe on here for this so i'm really looking forward to making it.

I have also got day 3 of the shred to look forward to and probably a trip into town to get my sons new top for him going on the lash on Saturday night. He has a better social life than me

Willl be back later to update my food list.

I'm back sooner than I anticipated.

While trying to do shred this morning my knee is making an awful grinding sound when I bend it.

Its make me feeling sick listening to it. So i'm abandoning Jillian for now  not sure what to do now

Another positive day apart from the knee thing with the shred DVD i'm not entirely sure what to do about that.

Been having a few problems with the internet and connecting to a new router so i'm bit late writing this up, but as I am up late watching sex in the city I thought I would catch up :D

Here goes

Red day
5 herb and onion crackers 5 syns
28g cheese 1 hea
2 egg omelette
red pepper
ham
baked beans 1 heb
1 tsp brown sauce 0.5 syns
banana
268g jacket pot 1heb + 2 syns
left over bolognese sauce 4 syns
4 marshmallows 4 syns
milkey coffee 1 hea

syns 15.5 + 2 litres of water

A few more syns than I would like, but will try and pull them back down to 10 over the next few days.

Going to buy some new bathroom scales tomorrow mine don't work properly despite new batteries, so new ones are a must until I go back to class at the end of May.

Looking forward to a good day tomorrow x

Morning Diary.

Its the beginning of Day 4 and while i'm catching up with the sky +ed american idol (so much better than x factor and is it any coincidence that the talents better now that cowell has left it ) thought I would begin my daily ramblings then head off into town.

Its going to be another red day i'm quite enjoying them since I started to rethink my heb's to include baked beans, chick peas and peas etc I never thought to do that before  and only had them on EE.

By doing them on Red I can reign in the portion control and enjoy them along with portion controlled pasta or pots.

Its all good :D

I will update my menu later tonight so have a good weekend to anyone reading this.

Since i'm feeling completely in the zone and facing a few realities about myself I need to confess all and write it down.

Having lost over 5 stone last year on sw I have since xmas put on a stone, most of it on a xmas holiday to prague :(

Since Tuesday and deciding to face the truth I decided it was time to lose the extra 5 stone well 6 now.

Feeling very positive and I know I can finish this even if it takes another year or so.

Lets hope the positivity is long reaching especially with british summer time starting tomorrow. I want that new dress I have seen in new look :D

Here's my menu for today again its Red

weetabix 1 heb
milk 1 hea
sweetener
skinny cappucino from starbucks 2.5 syns
2 crackers 2 syn
1 exl laughing cow cheese 1 syn
Large piece of cod (delish)
2 bread 1 heb
banana
mushrooms
cherry tomatoes
red pepper
asparagus

syns 5.5

I still have hea left to have a milky coffee before I go to bed.

Unfortunately I did not complete a 2 litre bottle of water today as I was out for most of it.

Oh and I still have a box of reduced price raspberries to eat but may save them for tomorrow if i'm not hungry later.

Have a great weekend x

Helloooo :wavey:

You sound super organised and in a great frame of mind

What sort of dress do you have your eye on then? I wore a dress yesterday :faint2: for only the 2nd time in nearly 8 years (since I got married ) and it was great not to feel all bundled up in layers n layers of clothing in an attempt to cover all the lumps n bumps :D -I still have plenty of lumps n bumps mind, just not as many or as big as before ;)

I may well have to run alongside your diary (well walk quickly :rotflmao:) as I still need to shift about another 4.5 -5st too.

ooh and on the shred front -my knee doesn't grind but my right one clicks a bit and so does my left elbow :giggle: -its not painful though and it is getting less, I have become quite addicted to that DVD , but you do right to find something thats not going to injure you..
Sounds like the red days suit you :happy036: -like you I try to keep my carbs under control as I used to be a carbohydrate junky :giggle: -but now I feel much better having less and to be honest I can't eat loads at once any more :bliss:

Anyway -I will stop waffling on your diary... just wanted to say "keep up the great work" -oooh and NO I don't mind you *pinching* my way of laying out my food* :p -Im a list addict too..
Have a great weekend..

Aw thanks so much for dropping by :D Yes i'm feeling ultra organised i've even done the shopping a day early as my son has a football match tomorrow so its an early start. I have even planned your indian pork patties for tea but I may do them as a kebab wrapped round wooden skewers, not sure yet.

The dress I have seen is a red floral tiered maxi dress it is sleeveless but I love my denim jacket and it will sit nicely on the top to hide my bingo wings :D

I bought a size 16 blue and white maxi dress last year and I love it, its really floaty and comfortable to wear.

Its nice to be wearing dresses again isn't it, i'm not quite ready to go above knee yet though.

Thanks for letting me pinch your list idea, the amount of lists I write I cant understand why it didnt occur to me sooner :D

It sounds like you have a lovely life over there in Germany from what I have read.

I have a 15 year old son who is looking to join the army in September (turns 16 in July) but because of his age he goes to army college winchester to do his basic then onto chatham to do phase 2 hopefully as a mechanical draughtsman.

It's all he has talked about for the past 2 years so I caved and have signed the papers

Anyway have a great weekend and feel free to drop by anytime x

Afternoon diary :D well its early afternoon and so far so good. I did the last of the shopping this morning I had to pop to sainsbury's to get my extra lean pork mince for the indian patties i'm making tonight.

Then it was off to Durham to watch the football bit chilly but all good.

Didn't have time for breakfast before we left so I took some prepacked pineapple and a pineapple and i've just had something more substantial.

All the fluid I have been having though lately mean't I was desperate for the loo and had to wait 40 mins til we got back the traffic was horrendous  :D

Will be back later to fill in my menu for day.

Have a good one x

hello you!!
good to see you back here and im enjoying reading the new diary :)

cant wait to follow and see how well you do :D

You are welcome back anytime x

Day 5 completed and feel that I am getting the hang of this sw malarkey :D

It's is amazing how much more confident I feel when I am in charge of what I am eating when i'm not eating crap. I honestly can't think why I stopped doing the plan. And I wondered why I have been feeling like crap since xmas it's true "you are what you eat"

Anyway I was supossed to write my menu up last night but I fell asleep on the settee at about 9.50 and didn't wake up til 2 ish, I must have been shattered, unfortunately I missed the end of Boardwalk empire so I will have to sky + it in the week

So here goes Day 5 food diary

Pineapple
banana
2 morrisons sausages 1 syn
egg
tin tomatoes
brown sauce 1/2 syn
2 crackers 2 syn
ex light lc cheese 1 syn
weetabix 1 heb

I was supossed to have a milky coffee, but falling asleep mean't I missed it so 1 hea short on day 5.

I quite like using my syns on regular meals I honestly have not missed crisps or chocolate so far, long may it continue. :D

Day 6 here in Newcastle and the start of BST :D

its a lovely morning so lets hope it stays that way as its another morning packed with football. I guess that's why my username is soccermom  shock, horrror.

Anyway a big shout out for Capricorn her spiced Indian patties recipe last night were lovely and hubby enjoyed his stuffed into pitta bread (I didn't have that bit).

We served them with a pile of curry flavoured roast veg and chickpeas and a spicy tom chutney mixed with FF nat yoghurt.

Will definitely be on the menu again.

Anyway popping off now just wanted to start my diary off for the day.

Have a great sunday everyone x

Hey you! Just thought I'd say a quick hello and say how pleased I am for you that you have refound your mojo! I lost mine for a while .... actually, I lost it for nearly year, I just kept going back up and down over the same 5lbs or so .... and then all of sudden I'd put on 10lbs. I drew a line again a couple of weeks or so ago and am really enjoying being back on the straight and narrow! well narrower I suppose ;) :p :D

I keep reading about people and that shred DVD - I must look into it and think about it for a while! Luckily I can't afford it right now, so I don't actually need to do anything about it yet :rotflmao:

Good luck with the plan - keep focussed, we all know you can do it!

Hey ozzie :grouphugg: how are you? I was so worried about all my cairns friends with the cyclone etc it sounded really bad. Friends of ours who live near the sea front were evacuated so it must have been pretty scary stuff.

Yes I have discovered my mojo, it took a while to get it back and i'm so pleased I have.

Eating crap puts me in a crap mood I just can't understand why I continued to do it no matter how lousy i felt :sigh:

Pleased you have found yours to :D

I have given up the shred for the time being my knee was feeling very uncomfortable so I am going to try and find something with a bit less impact on the old knees.

I do fancy trying yoga or something like that maybe tai chi now i'm getting on a bit.

May even have a go at zumba or boxercise will have to see about that.

Anyway enjoy your week. I will keep an eye out for you and check on how you are doing. I wouldn't want you to slip off the straight and narrow :D x

Well here we are at the end of day 6 :D today could have gone pear shaped, but it didn't thank goodness.

Let me explain: hubby was cooking sunday dinner today as we were having roast chicken and he makes a mean chicken dinner.

I decided to do EE so I could enjoy some roasted pots, parsnips and carrots all done in frylight as per usual.

Then for some unexplicable reason he cooked everything in oil:eek: I didn't notice until I went to dish up, I was so disappointed and unfortunately a little bit cross.

Was this sabotage, a ploy to eat all the parsnips himself or truly a mistake :sigh:

I have been doing sw now for nearly a year and a half and I can't remember the last time anything was cooked in oil.

So I quickly had a rethink and I ended up with a rather bland chicken with cabbage, green beans and asparagus :( no lovely crunchy roasties, parsnips or carrots.

So today ended in it being a red day so here goes my food list.

scrambled egg
milk 1 hea
2 wholemeal toast 1 heb
brown sauce 1/2 syn
roast veg and chickpeas (leftovers) 1 heb
banana
chicken
cabbage
green beans
asparagus
gravy 2 syns
fab icelolly 4.5 syns
chicken
tomato chutney 2 syns

9 syns

Milky coffee later to go to bed on to use the rest of my hea.

Sunday is usually the day I find I am at my pickiest food wise, but so far i'm fine :D my mind hasbeen occupied with a 70 min phonecall with a friend and then booking tickets to go and see Mrs Brown's boys with some other friends this has filled the evening out a bit.

Looking forward to weigh in on Tuesday looking forward to a good one fingers crossed.

Have a great week everyone x

We were really lucky with the cyclone that it swung south although obviously I do feel for the poor beggars that did get hit. We had to evacuate as we are in a low lying part of town and were in danger of flooding. Fortunately, OH works at a big swish apartment complex and his bosses let us use one of the show apartments, complete with cat and dog who are normally banned from the complex. His company did well out of it as it meant that they had a member of staff working on site for practically 36 hours straight. It was really sheltered there too and young OzMoz and I actually slept right through the cyclone. As I said, we were lucky!

Anyway, all is generally ok here. We're struggling financially though as jobs seem to be somewhat scarce. Unemployment is apparently at 13% here now. Sooner or later someone will give me a break, I reckon I'm due some good luck :fingerscrossed:

Good luck with WI - I'll check up to see how you do! I can generally be found on the Sunday Weighers thread, if you haven't got a team as such, you're more than welcome there as we aren't limited to Sunday weighers, we have our waifs and strays from Tuesdays and I think Wednesdays, actually the thread wouldn't be the same without them! :D
