Hi everyone!

Not posted for a while but I have been reading some posts and everyone is doing so well!

I felt very brave yesterday and ventured into the back of the wardrobe where my work clothes that don't fit live (we all have that section don't we haha!) and good news - my gorgeous trousers that I bought after dieting two years ago fit me again! Ok ok, they're a bit of squeeze and I won't be venturing out with them on until the awful muffin top has vanished, but it's a mini victory for me! I've just started week 4 on LT and lost 1 stone so far, hoping that another 4 weeks and I'll be another stone down.

Hope everyone is doing well! Lots of love and good luck,

GemJ xxxx

Hiya Gem. I was wondering how you were getting on. Very well by the look of it! Great to hear you fitting into those trousers again so quickly. It's like getting a new wardrobe! :D

It's a great feeling, isn't it? I got my summer clothes out this weekend and it was great that some items were hanging off me and others, which I haven't been able to get into for a good few years, were going on. Like Jesse said, like having a whole new wardrobe.

Well done Gem J! I can't wait for that feeling! I have a whole suitcase of clothes waiting to be worn again, some with the labels still on.

Keep going!! ;)

Why do we do this??? I too have loads of clothes still with their labels on, some from 7 years ago that I bought just after my son was born as an 'incentive' to lose weight. Now I've put quite a few in the charity bag as I just don't like them anymore or feel that what was appropriate at 42 is no longer appropriate at 49. And a few weeks ago I realised I had eight, yes eight, pairs of size 16 jeans all with the labels on still that I couldn't get into (can get into some of them now though) and then when I got my summer stuff out I found another 2 pairs plus some combats. Also I have 4 pairs of linen-like work style trousers all in size 16, a black pair of size 16s from M&S and a brown/cream tweedy pair from F&F at Tesco. Then I also have a fine grey wool pair from MandCo. What a bloody waste of money. Before I couldn't get into any of these trousers and now I don't need all these size 16s. I'm going to be a 14 before too long. Oh, and BTW, I found three brand new pairs of size 14s too!!! What fantasy island was I inhabiting when I bought those????? In future I will only ever buy clothes that fit me and flatter me at the time I'm buying them.
