Recipes on SW site

Has anyone else noticed the massive lack of vegetables they include in their recipes? What ever happened to 1/3 super free?

I cooked a chicken curry from the website last night and the only veg in it was onion.

I added, spinich, potato, carrots, mange tout to bump it up. It would have been really bland otherwise.

Sometimes I think they just expect you to have a side salad with everthing. Who wants salad with curry-not me!?

I agree with you becasue I felt the same. Because Salad's don't go with Curry i just stopped doing extra easy as i was tired of having salad with everything lol. I just do Green Days now instead

Was the chicken curry specified as EE or a red recipe?
Did it have tinned tomatoes in it?
I think the recipes haven't all been updated though.
I tend to make a big pot of tomato and onion "salad" to go with my curry. I love it!

I've noticed the same thing myself. Have added veg to any of the recipes I have made.

I sometimes have a salad starter before my meal to make sure I get enough superfree. Or if you want a hot starter then HM veggie soup is good too.

Usually have fruit after as well, again to up the superfrees.

Probably a silly question, but what is HM veggie soup?

I think if you look in the Extra Easy cookbook they all have a 1/3rd Superfree in them, but every other book I've got doesn't seem to be the case!! it frustrating as I tend to do EE days 90% of the time. Maybe worth sending them an email about it?

Also - do the tinned tomatoes count as Superfree? I have been assuming yes but this has got me thinking

Yep, tinned tomatoes do count as the superfree.

Depending which cookbooks you have, a lot of them came out pre EE so won't necessarily have a lot of superfree in the recipes.
