Down to my last Exante bar so have ordered some of these to see if I like them.

I just can't bring myself to buy bars at £2.44 each when you can get 3 for the same price from ASDA!!

Have ordered a couple of each flavour and they are being delivered on Tues morning (just in time!!).

Will let you know how I get on :)

Youll LOVE them ;-)

Oh yes must not forget to thank Starlight for the tip!!!! :D

Ooo that is good to know missjam!

They are sooooooooooo yum. Went and got some the other day as I was getting low on Exante bars, and didn't want to caught short - they are yum yum yum and make me wory I shouldn't be eating them as they are so lovely. Trying to only have them every other day in an attempt to really have something lovely lovely to look forward to (and I really like the Exante soups/shakes anyway lol).

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but needs must...

Are the bars you are talking about an ASDA brand or are they the Biggest Loser as in the television programme available in ASDA?

See we don't have ASDA here & I've searched all the other supermarkets high & low for these bars to no avail. Starlight has my mouth watering with the thoughts of a mint chocolate bar.

Thank you for that reply it look like I'll have to go without for a while longer hopefully I'll make it up North over Easter. Look what Exante has done to me I'm going to drive totally out of my way to get a mint chocolate bar!!!

I had a look over pretty much all the "healthy bars" in Tesco yesterday to compare (but NOT BL or ASDA bars so just as an aside)

From what I saw they are all lower in calories and slightly lower in carbohydrates (which are my main 2 things to watch). They definitely won't have 1/3 nutrients but will probably taste better and a lot more choice.

They are however about 30g in weight whereas Exante bars are about 50g I think off the top of my head so might not feel as full afterwards. Given the numbers (from here Cookies Detecting! ) tho (113 cals and 9.9g carbs) you should be able to have 2 for same value as Exante bar!

I don't think that these are the same thing, and I wouldn't touch them. Maybe these are just "healthy" bars and not the same as a meal replacement bar, as all the ones I have looked at are around 50/60g, contain around 20g of carbs and are 210 calories or therabouts. Plus, if you look at the nutrients you can see that there are 23%+ of daily vitamins and some of the nutrients.

to be honest I was just looking at things like Eat Natural rather than specifically meal replacement bars.

the Tesco ones are a bit high in carbs for my taste.

But then I have the opinion that a meal replacement bar/shake/soup is no better than a normal equivalent (within some restrictions around calories and carbs) plus a vitamin supplement so you may wish to ignore me!

didnt think we were allowed the bl bars ??? r they good then i hate the exante bars

There's been debate on that Ecsnte originally said yes they were suitable then did a u turn but their motives for the u turn is questionable ;)

Nutritionally they're almost identical to Exante bars and are gorgeous

Just make sure it's the meal replacement ones you get
