Hi
I have been doing SW for 2 weeks now and only managed to loose 1st 1/2lb :cry:This is my first time trying SW . I thought I had the basic idea down, but reading the threads I see people doing EE one day and swapping over to the red/green. can someone please help with the following.

1. Can you just stick to EE all week or do you have to swap.
2. Do you have to use your daily allowance of syns
3. Dose anyone know how many syns in an Asda cooked chicken.

I have been filling up on lots of fruit and veg, quite a bit of pasta , eggs , red and white meat and drinking my 2liters of water a day. I feel so frustrated that I am not loosing as much in a week as most of the people in my group
What I am doing wrong
:lost:

Wow blinking heck, over a stone in 2 weeks is amazing, if thats correct you dont need to change a single thing.

I'm sure there's a typo somewhere.. if you have lost a stone in 2 week i want to know what you have been eating please..

sometimes it can just take longer for your body to get use to the new eating habit, don't give up! Even tho you are disappointed with your weight loss, it is still a loss!

To answer your questions

1. I have only had extra easy days since I started, not had a red or green day yet
2. I don't use all my syns, today I have only used 6 which was a curly wurly earlier. Last week however I used them all! So much so I ran out for my last couple of days!
3. the chickens we were discussing them in group this week and one of the girls works there and is going to find out if it is cooked with oils. If it hasn't been and you didn't eat the skin then should be free, but it is finding out what they do to the chicken before they put it on to cook (I take it you mean the warm ones cooked in store?!)

Your hard work will be paid off.

I'm starting my first day tomorrow. Kinda nervous. Really hope it works. Feels like its the last chance for me. :(

Hi! Just wanted to say I mix my days up all the time and have done since I started, depending on what I'm fancying for dinner/tea. Usually end up doing 2 ee days a week. I do sometimes struggle to do my third superfree which is why I do red and green, aswell as I do like my 2 hex! Try a few different days and see what works best for you. Stick with it, trust me...it does work. Good luck.

Good luck. You will love it.

Thank you.

Can you tell me what the difference is between the days? Like what is a red day and a green day..?

Hi roziee, I dont actually do ee as I dont like veg much, so I do red and green days. Normally I do about 5 red and two green a week. So, what is the difference? On a red day you can eat as much lean meat and fish as you like but then you have to weigh your carbs and count as a HEB ie if you want meat, veg and potato, your meat if lean is free and you can have as much of that as you like, but you have to weigh your potato, a potato with skin on a HEB is 227g. If you wanted fish and syn free chips, so long as the fish is cooked plain without any sauces it is also free but you have to again weigh the potato for the syn free chips 227g. If you perhaps wanted a lot of bolognaise sauce and pasta, you would again have to weigh your pasta and count it as your HEB. If you are on green day, the reverse applies, ie weigh your meat and fish, poultry etc but you can have unlimited plain boiled rice, pasta, cous cous. Of course you can have as many free veg and fruit as you like. And then the syns are as the other plan as well. Hope this helps.

I don't know it exactly since I stick to EE but as far as I understand it, red days are based on meat and poultry.. with things like pasta and potatoes being limited
green days are the opposite with meat and poultry being limited..
on both red and green days you can have 2 HeA and 2 HeB..

and I DID lose over a stone in 2 weeks.. 1st 2 weeks of december I lost 6lbs then 9lbs..
I was as suprised as anyone and only wish I had done a food diary for those weeks... :(

I eat roughly the same thing every day as that is what works for me..
scrambled eggs for breakfast with a nectarine or other fruit, beans or shaghetti or couscous for dinner with more fruit (plums, banana etc ) and evening meal of roast chicken breast, roast potatoes, cabbage ( 2 types ), leeks and cauliflower ( usually about 1/2 the plate with the veg ) and a bit of gravy for a few syns..

Thank you for that. That's made it clearer now..

I'm going to start on EE- i love fruit and veg.. and see how that goes. My husband will probably go on the Red days more because he's a meat man.

Hi LilieC86
yep I do mean the warm ones cooked in store :)

Thanx guys for your replies . I think I will try mixing up my days although I have to say the whole weighing of portions is not my strong suit, but up until 2 weeks ago nither was eating veg

Its not much though, and you weigh your cereal anyway and measure your milk allowance on all plans. You would soon get into the hang of it, most things are free anyway, or superfree. Good luck
