Think I'm going to do WS.....advice please

I have managed 3.5 days on TS and think I am just about in ketosis based on me not waking up hungry this morning. However, I got to this afternoon and got hungry and then the cravings took hold. Rather than risk a binge attack I made myself an omlette and had this with some tinned salmon (the only protein I had to hand at the time). It was lovely and has made me think I will be more suited to the WS plan rather than TS.

So for those of you following WS can I ask what losses you have had please? I know it says on the website that you can expect an average of 10lbs a month but is this case or have you found that you lose more/less? Also I know what I need to eat to stay in ketosis but how do stop from getting bored or falling in to the trap of having the same things every day and potentially risking falling down?

Many thanks

I'm doing a mix of TS and WS. Weighing in on Tuesday, first week, but I know myself that I have lost a substantial amount of weight! (at least 6lbs! its not on my ticker or stats because I only count my weekly wi for those)

haha i've just noticed we have EXACTLY the same start weight and goal weight, how very bizarre!!! xx

Thanks for replying Hannata. I've been reading your diary and hadn't noticed that about our sw/gw ;)

I made a crustless quiche with salmon, king prawns and spinach for tea tonight and it was lush :p I was up for work at 0500 this morning so was ready to eat my own arm by the time I got home at 1630.

Really determined to stick with this and will also be having some TS days esp when I am on late shifts, wont fancy cooking when I get in at 2200.

My official weigh day is Thurs. Good luck. Looking forward to seeing what we lose on our first week.

Yeah mee toooo! ^_^

I'm not promising myself that I will be 100% TS every day, but I might try and fit the odd few days in there to keep the weight going off steady. I find it a lot easier to do TS after the ketosis has well and truly set in, and I have my Coke Zero as a treat once a day.

It's not really medically safe for me to do TS all of the time, I'm on some very potent drugs (immune system suppressants and a drug used to treat cancer) so I have to be very careful :( I took my (weekly) injections today so I'll probably feel like a bucket of **** for the next few days. Another struggle to add to my list... lol

That does sound very yummy! I have to say I was in Tesco last week sometime and the fish counter was smelling really attractive... usually the last place I'd be attracted to!!! (normally the bread counter haha)

My WI is tomorrow (argh!) so I'll let you know how I go :p

Have you set the 168 (12 stone 0 if I recall) as a final weight? I have as I'm quite tall and I don't think its managable for me to get down under that weight and maintain comfortably!

Through December and January I was doing a mixture of TS and WS, December was more WS than TS, and still achieved 14lb losses each month. February was WS with lots of days falling off the wagon... hence the low loss. March I'm back on mostly TS with a few days WS too.
It's all down to the calories, so long as you really do stick with a smallish low carb meal, then you'll be OK, if you use it as an excuse to have a really large meal each day then your losses won't be so good!
Good luck finding a way that works for you.
