Can I replace a battery in an electric toothbrush?

I bought an oral b braun electric toothbrush 8 months ago & it won't charge now.

It's got the red light on as if battery empty but still no charge. Is the battery gone?

Do they lose their battery that quick?

Should I take it back to the shop or try fix the battery?

Don't try to fix it. As you only purchased it eight months ago, it is still under guarantee. Take it back to the shop and make you have your receipt.
