xbox Kinect

hi,

i wonder if anyone can help me. My son wants to buy a kinect this weekend to go on his xbox. The problem is that he doesnt have the biggest bedroon in the world and would only be able to get about one metre away from the sensor, would it still work ??

in a word No, sorry! I have a Kinect and you do need to be about 6 feet away from it, as it needs to be able to "see" your whole body" If 2 people are playing you need to be 8ft away. In my living room we can do one player but for 2 we need to move the sofa!

1 metre won't be enough room sorry. Shame as they are really so good.

My son is lucky enough to have a double bedroom but he has so much stuff in there he has no hope either, have told him to lose 50% of his cr@p and we'll talk again.

I really want one but the X-box is in my sons room which isnt big enough. I might get the Kinect and just bring the console downstairs when I want to use it - you do need a fair bit of space

You definitely need the space. We wanted one bu our living room is far too small. Friends of ours have one and they have a massive living room and it's only just enough space.

if he angles the sensor he may have room at the bottom of his bed...i think that may have to be the solution.
