I dont no if im just strange or if this is something to do with the diet but i am covered in bruises, my mum seems to think its may be something to do with my blood thinning? all i have to do is scratch or rub my skin especially my legs and i get a huge bruis?

anyone else experianced anything like this?

Yes!

It's a known side effect - has something to do with Vitamin K deficiency I think...

A thread here discusses it a bit more: http://www.minimins.com/cambridge-diet-forum/126652-bruises.html

I'll see if I can find some more...

Yep - here's another: http://www.minimins.com/cambridge-diet-forum/107026-i-bruise-like-peach-anyone-else.html

In a nutshell, there are 2 reasons for it:

1) Levels of vitamin K. If you've been used to eating a lot of green vegetables your intake may have been higher than average. So although Cambridge packs do contain the RDA amount of Vitamin K, it isn't as much as you may have had before.

2) Less fat = less padding = less protection :)

Funnily enough, I feel it most around my waist when I get it - the waistband of my trousers bruises me, LOL.

You might consider checking it out with GP just to be sure:)
