changing from cambridge to Dukan

tryin again

I'm currantly on the cambridge diet and doing well with my weight loss, but i'm constantly dizzy and feeling weak so am changing to the Dukan diet. I felt this would be a good one to carry on the weight loss with as hopefully i'll stay in ketosis.

Has anyone here changed straight from cambridge to Dukan? I'm worried about eating again and am not sure whether to expect any weight gain or not?

Ay help would be much appreciated :D

Hello there and welcome to the Dukan board,

First things first. Congratulations on your weight loss to date!
Now then to Dukan. Do you have the book? I know a lot of info is available on the net, but the book makes it all clearer and fewer mistakes will occur.

We have in the past had a few switch from shakes to Dukan, but I'm unsure as to anyone is still with us. Such is internet life alas.

Personally, and I could be talking tosh here, I would think it normal if your weight increased a little during the switch and your attack period mightn't result in much of a loss, so futile doing too long a one if you move from Cambs to Dukan.

I'd say to go for 3 days attack - not to get you into ketosis, because you're already there, but more to get into the Dukan way of eating and to familiarise yourself with planning ahead, food prep etc because after a few months of Cambs, you'll be out of shopping/cooking routine.

Ask all the q's you need before you start. I always recommend checking out Dukan recipes (you'll find you need to cook from scratch quite a bit), planning a week's menus, doing a big shop, clearing diary of awkward engagements initially because - like Cambridge - this diet is cruel when we slip up.

Nice to have you with us. Good luck!
