It's sounds like something from Star Trek. We don't have it here in the US, at least not under that name. I just saw a SW cheese cake recipe that uses it. Are there any alternatives?

It's a skimmed milk soft cheese. Can't see it available online anywhere, but when I search it keeps bringing me back to UK sites... sorry.

To me it tastes like the natural fromage frais (and fromage is french for cheese so may be similar!) but its thicker

Actually Quark is a star trek character - he's the bar owner in Star Trek Deep Space 9!

It's also an elementary particle that makes up almost all other particles, which makes up matter and there are 6 flavours, my favourites are charm and strange!
