What Do You Think About Diet Pills ?

Hey, I am in the process of losing weight, and I'm doing pretty good on my own however I think maybe the process is a little slow.

Are there any weight loss pills, supplements, drinks I can take what will help me lose weight and remove body fat ?

Most diet pills offer you the world at ridiculous prices. If they sound too good to be true chances are they are. If diet pills were the answer and they worked, we'd all be on them ;)

You're much better just sticking to a proper diet x

NOT a good idea Squirly, after all for the most part they either make you go to the loo every five mins or make you dash around like a mad thing or just swell up in your stomach to make you feel full. Either which way at the end of the day getting to grips with eating sensibly and learning how to stop the cravings most of us suffer from is by far the better way to deal with losing weight....:D

lol @ dashing around like mad - that brings back some bad bad memories :(

Also can add shaking like a leaf to this list :S

Hun, as you say you're doing good on your own so you don't need any pills. Actually, I think weight loss pills are unnatural. The only pills I support are multivitamins (suplements) wich can be good if you're doing a low calorie diet and want to make sure you get in your vitamins.

I'm a veggie, so I take a B12 vitamin every other day. Besides that, I drink 1 or 2 cups of green tea most days; eat around 1500 cals per day and walk almost everyday. It works for maintenance.

Also drink water without fear:p That's the best diet pill, it eliminates the liquids retention as effectivelly as diuretics ;)

Wouldn't recommend any diet pills for the past 2 years ive been looking for the quick fix's and their not worth it, they are expensive and once you finish them you either forkout another lump sum or the weight slowly returns.

Humm.. I guess that is true. I take one a day vitacraves everyday and it had B12 in it. It works pretty good too. I'm not very good at taking pills anyway because there too big. But I keep looking at Sensa and it looks kinda interesting to me. But I don't know if it works good or not in order to try it.

So many people seem to be looking for a quick fix, but in my opinion the ONLY way to lose weight and keep it off forever is to change eating and exercise habits for good, taking your time to make the changes so that they eventually become 2nd nature! I've taken 16 months to lose my (nearly) 4 1/2 stone and although at times I've found it frustrating, looking back I'm really glad I've done it that way because I can hand on heart say that I've done it all myself without any help from fad diets or pills, purely by healthy eating and increasing my exercise (but by no means becoming fanatical about it!) I think that diet pills can be dangerous, are bad for your liver, and invariably have side-effects! I don't think people should put rubbish into their bodies when they can lose weight in much healthier ways!X

Over the last 6 years, in desperation I've tried adios, adios max, bio synergy, reflex sida cordifolia, trim-right, the pink patch and apple cider vinegar capsules.
The first two (adios ones) did not work apart from they had a diuretic effect so I went to the loo more and as a result lost a couple of pounds in the first few days through water loss and then no further losses after that.
Bio synergy had no effect whatsoever.
Reflex sida cordifolia made me feel over alert, I couldn't sleep and felt horrible. They did make me feel less hungry but made me feel so ill that it was not worth it.
Trim-right, I only took one of those and felt rough all day and couldn't sleep that night, I couldn't eat a thing all day-not even an apple, I physically couldn't eat so they worked a little too well. I couldn't face taking any more because I felt too rough from them. (I bought them online after loads of people were raving about them on the youandyourwedding forum). Incidentally, they have since had the ingredients changed as it turned out they were being manufactured in China and contained an illegal ingredient. Just goes to show how dangerous buying diet pills on line is.
Pink patch did not work for weight loss at all, another wasted amount of money. And finally apple cider vinegar capsules, again nothing for my weight loss but they did improve my digestion and made me feel perky-probably coincidence though.
Please don't go down the same road I went, I wasted a good couple hundred quid trying to find a miracle solution, I knew each time I was wasting my money but my desperation to lose weight just got the better of me!

Yeah I know... years ago I was on the original Xenadrin.. and at the time it had Ephedra in it. So when I would stand up quickly, I would get dizzy spells and have to sit back down. I guess I wanted something more natural to use. I have some tea that's suppose to work. So there is nothing on the market that is natural to drink in order speed up metabolism or burn fat, something like that ?

i dont trust them after trying out adios max. they made me feel ill, bloated and gave me headaches. but no loss....

I suppose the only thing that's 'safe' as such is Ali (or is it Alli?) which is available from chemists. You do need to have a BMI over a certain level though (think it's 28) and you can't just pick it up off the shelf, it's a pharmacy only item.

I've heard mixed reports about it from friends that have taken it, some say it helps, some didn't. You have to be very careful about your fat intake or there can be some very unpleasant side effects :( It's flipping expensive too!

And I heard it was FDA approved too. I think that's the only one that is. The only things is, with the pills it always say that they work best with diet and exercise. But when you think about it ... If you did that by itself, then you should be able to lose weight on your ow with out the pills. I think Lipozene is the only one to my knowledge that says you can "eat your regular meals" and take the pill and you will still lose weight. LOL but i dont know how true that is.

You've lost 27lbs so far without pills - thats fantastic!!! :)

I've tried every WL pill going and they are a waste of time, honestly, keep doing what you're doing!
