Hey,
Anyone else Knit or crochet??
Me and my mate have got into knitting in the last few months, i made a tea cosy for my mums xmas pressi last year, and i have knitted a bunch of flowers for mothers day. will add a photo soon.

We have also just managed to learn through the internet how to crochet, ( great this internet isnt it!) Although we had some issues in that its taken us a month to realise that there is English crochet and USA crochet. Our book is in english, but all we have learnt off internet is USA, hence why are patterns werent going very well!

So anyone else knit or crochet?

Yup i do , I used to do quite a lot when the kids were babies , then I got into dyeing my own wool and stuff too for a bit , then went on a spree of learning to crochet ( thank you interwebs and blast u interwebs too ...trying to do the usa and english thing too drove me even more bats than I usually am). I haven't done any for a bit but I find having something to do with my hands is helpful if the telly zombie munchies are at my door. Have lots of fun but don't go to ravelry unless you don't mind it stealing hours of your life as you peruse the patterns lol!

i have tried knitting and crocheting before too. I do cross stitch keep me busy now. Did a crochet class a few years ago and bought art of crochet for a while too but i prefer the cross stitching.

As to the knitting, I do a little but get bored easily  - I tried crochet and can go up n down in lines but thats about my limit :D(I will learn properly one day, perhaps when we move home to the UK)... as it is I have a serious stash of beautiful wool loaddddds of pairs of needles and even handles to make bags *really should put them all together* :p

I have just started knitting again after a few years off. I also cross stitch but find that this hurts my eyes after a while. But I was looking for something to keep me busy and not thinking about food.
Have managed to knit half a jumper in just over a day and have already found my next project to do.
Anything to stop the munchies.

They are beautiful, Capricorn, well done.

I do knitting and crochet.
Did a lovely crochet shawl for my daughters first baby and fairly recently knitted one for my granddaughters 1st. Love doing aran knits and the more complicated the cable stitch the better I like it.

Best of all was when I went to a needlecraft course and made some lovely things with tapestry work. If I get my picture uploading tech better will put them on here to show you what I mean.

i love Knitting i knit teddies for sick people and make them smile my daughter started knitting a year ago and is now more advanced than me lol and she is only 16 it's a craze in our house with both my daughters amd me ,hubby doesnt say any thing now i think we live in our local wool shop lol

I do all sorts of crafts - knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, cross-stitch, patchwork and quilting.

You are all so clever. I can not even sow a button on....hubby does mine for me if they come off ( I am not daft).

Capricorn, they are fantastic. I love the one you did for your mum .

I knit! I picked it up again around September time last year and I really enjoy it. Very good at keeping my hands occupied when I'm watching tv...I'm a bit of a fidget otherwise.

At christmas I made 2 pencil cases, a scarf, 3 pairs of fingerless gloves and 3 mug warmers for gifts. They were great!

Really want to learn crochet but need to wait until I get some money for supplies. Spent a lot of money getting acrylic chunky wool posted to me before christmas and can't justify buying anymore crafty bits for a while.

I can do both, but I have 2 cardigans that have been waiting for buttons for 10 years! I have 3 tapestry cushion covers waiting to be made into cushions for that long too!
I would however love to learn tatting!

I knit and crochet, in fact my brother calls me the croshady lady lol I mainly make a lot of textiles art pieces though - textiles student at art college. It's always nice to find others interested in the ways of yarnography tho :)

iv started knitting only just learning (started a week ago) keeps my hands busy and my mind on those late night binges!!
