Holidays & Slimming World

Wasn't sure where to put this so thought I'd try here first! :)
I'm going away in a couple of weeks to Spain. I'm really lucky to have a place over there and when OH and I go together we tend to eat a lot at the apartment because it's a home from home for us. This time I'm going with my sister in law and I know she'll want to eat out........a lot! I have quite a few mates over there and one of them manages a bar. She's said that their chef does a lot of requests for food and she'll get him looking into Slimming World recipes ready for when I get there. This got me thinking........all the bars over there are struggling with the recession, less tourists etc and I wondered:

If a bar/restaurant advertised Slimming World friendly meals would you use it??

It would be interesting to get people's thoughts on this and see whether it would be worth their while taking forward ready for the season starting properly. I know that Spain traditionally has a lot of fresh food available but they do use a lot of oil in their cooking and, if you don't know the language, it's difficult sometimes to establish exactly what's in the dishes advertised or how they are cooked. I know a lot would depend on the quality of the food as well but, as a general idea, is it a goer? TIA

Hmmm.. Not sure! If I were here I'd def go for a place that served sw friendly meals, fab idea!!! As for on holiday I don't know. We all TRY to be goodish while away but, for me anyway, it's the thing I try to lose weight for so would want to eat freely and enjoy the local food (and sangria) ;0) while away. Saying that there's always some of us that are super good and stick to plan. Also, is there a local sw club there? Could bring in some local trade if so! Xx

I think i would definately give it a go ..... even though I am on holiday - the luxury part of it is not having to cook but i would always choose a lighter option x

Thanks for the responses :D I think there's a 'rogue' ww group in the area but not a Slimming World one - may be they should set one up :p
Nikki I suppose I was thinking of local dishes as well, just cooked with less olive oil to make them a healthier option! They could always do the sangria with a diet lemonade as well to cut down on the syns ;) and I'm sure all that fruit would work out as a third for EE :gimi:
