Advice needed please?

Hi everyone :)
I'm hoping someone can give me some advice on targeting specific areas...or even advice on if it's possible or not?
Basically I have about four stones to lose. I'm not doing any kind of special diet/going to the gym, I just started to eat healthily and jog, do an aerobics dvd at home and work on my cross trainer. I also have another dvd for toning, using weights/resistance training which I do.
It's working, I've lost almost a stone in a couple of weeks. My body shape is changing.....but not in the way I'd like!
Before, I was an hourglass shape, my hips and bust were the same size, and my waist was 14 inches less than both. I had a very large bust before (which I loved:p) but the weight has just disappeared from there :(. My smaller bust means my hips look bigger, so I look actually fatter than I was before I started, as I'm no longer in proportion. And it seems as though the weight lost from my bust is going to my butt! Before I had quite a 'flat' butt, but now it's curving out so much I'd give Kim Kardashian a run for her money!
Is it possible to do anything about this? Is there any way I can stop the weight coming off my bust...and going off my belly, for example. Losing weight only to end up looking worse is really getting me down and ruining my motivation. Help please!
Thanks for reading x Any advice is appreciated!

i think that this is the way bodies loose weight. you can't say today i want my weight off x, tomorrow y etc

i believe from experience that it sort of works downwards top to bottom. you will probably find that you will loose weight from your hip area but it might be the last place.

there are a few things to help you on your way and running is certainly one of them. ab work for you tummy area. also twists are good too.

It will even itself out in the end.

When you're working out remember what areas you're working on. So if you're doing lunges and squats that is working on and fat burning on thighs and bum.

You will burn fat when you work on your large muscle areas which are Back, Chest, Bum and thighs.

Also remember Cardio fitness is not fat burning fitness. Fat burning fitness is raising your heart level to 65 - 75% of your maximum heart rate so fast walking is actually better for fat burning than running as you aren't using as much of your energy supplies and running is cardio fitness.

cardio uses up all your energy supplies but does little for fat.

So you have to do a combination of both.

Hope this makes sense

First of all congratulations on the weightloss! I think it's a bit soon to start panicking, I know the first 2lbs go from my chin, and then it seems a bit like an egg timer, it all seems to be concentrated round the bottom! I've lost 10.5 lbs and it has come of my bust and spare tyre, but I know (from experience ) that when I get near target the fat comes off my belly and hips. There is no way to spot reduce unfortunately, so I would just keep going. Then you can re-assess when you get near target.

actually some of this is right but if you do lower carb diet for a few days then run you will use up your glucogen supplies first and your body will then be forced into using up the fat on your body to run itself. it is not picky as to where it uses it up from though.

Thanks for that info, I didn't know that! I'd certainly rather walk fast than run (not the biggest fan of cardio :p) so knowing I'd be fat burning is definately good news!
Thanks everyone that replied, guess all I can do is cross my fingers and wait and see. Just out of interest, (if it's not too personal), how are you all finding weight loss and skin elasticity? Is exercise helping? I'm hoping that age will be on my side (I'm 25)...but then I heard that once you've hit 25, skin stops being as elastic. So cue another worry over what I will end up looking like ....anyone got any experience of this?

Your shape and skin will be fine, you're young enough and you're exercising so toning will you lose
