hormone injections and weight loss??

going to do it!!!!
Hi there, i have been suffereing horrendous periods for past 4 years since the birth of my twins(14-20 days a month and so tired and anaemic, on iron tablets) and finally my gp has referred me to specialist for further management, who has point blank refused a hysterectomy, even though i have had a tubal tie AND a mirena coil, sorry if tmi but just wanted to get full story out lol! Anyay consultant has offered to do a hydro thermal ablation but prior to this i have to have a hormone injection, zoladex, for 3 months. I have had my first one and was wondering if anybody else has gone through this and still managed a weight loss? i lost 4 lb first week but then put on 2lb this week and did not go off plan at all. TOTM due but surely i couldnt put 2lb on only because of this when i had been 100% all week. I was doing pro points but have now changed back to discover to see if that hepls. Any replies would be appreciated especially if anyone has been through the same thing, as i feel really disheartened and down in the dumps, i NEED period sorted but dont fancy putting more weight on or not been able to lose any!!!
Thanks in advance.

some people can put on several pounds for TOM. I sympathise with you on the period front. I have had three surgeries in 12 years because of fibroids and pelvic adhesions caused by endometriosis and have suffered chronic pain and non stop bleeding, often very heavy. You will feel so much better and have more energy after you have this procedure so hang on in there. Any side effects from the hormones will be temporary. Just do the best you can until then and your recovery will be so much quicker if you are eating healthily.
