Hiya iv'e done a search for this title but can't find any threads.

Although being slimmer and fitter is my main concern over all. Id say my biggest fear is excess skin.

Ive seen some photos on here and i would never belive some people have been 20 odd stone at the start??

How do you all do it? the results look good!

Do you use lotions?

I have some very big belly holders that i wear if im out of an evening:D not the most comfortable and they are fighting a loosing battle at the moment:rolleyes:

exercise, swimming, weights, sit ups etc. I have loose ish skin on my belly but not that bad

HI Ria
Iv just thi s minute been viewing your photos. You've done great and must feel wicked.

I remember that feeling, even if i won the lottery i couldnt buy it. It has to be earmt with will power and i so want it again.

The skin thing worrys me alot as im 44 and im not sure hw that will go. WHen i was young and lost wiegt i was always lucky as athletic in my early days.

I've was demoted to a couch potatoe for 5years since 2005.

Last time i was a wieght and curve that I was happy with was new year eve 2000.
So its the longest ive been fatter too.

for me personally walking is great and i use a good fitness dvd..i use bio oil for my stretch marks and clarins bust gel to keep the girls from heading south haha!:p

Ive put it to the back of my mind, and i have to concentrate on making changes.

Hopefully the results will bring some surprises.

Thinking on the positive side Makes it more of an adventure. May be i get the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

If i dont get the full pot at least i will be fit and healthy and that has to be atleast! 3 quarters of it :D:D:D.

Im trying not to think of the excess skin factor at the moment haha..ive started doing davina mccalls body buff.ive started with the warm up followed by the cardio so hoping that will help me tone up too
well here's hoping anyway :party0011:

Cocoa butter is a god send. I use it daily it helps stretch marks as well as helps to tighten your skin. Its brilliant if you get pregnant and dont want stretch marks too. And it makes your skin soft and smooth.

ohh yes forgot about cocoa butter i must buy some..thanks ;)

I'm really worried about this...I may personally just start saving for plastic surgery just in case, lol.

Well, moisturising and toning exercises are probably the best things we can do at home.

Best wishes.

Its all to do with Muscle MAss fom what i am reading.
We need to keep are Muscle Mass the same while we diet.
Lossing Muscle Mass is the result of the crash diet and some diet plans :(

IM going to try to get to grips with this Muscle Mass thing. I have to find a way to get it accessed first.
I found these figures today if it helps anyone.

WOMEN
Allowed 6% more than men
10-12% is essential fat.
14-20% for athletes.
21-24% for fitness.
25-31% is acceptable.
32-41% is overweight.
42%-plus is obese.

MEN
2-4 % is essential fat.
6-13% for athletes.
14-17% for fitness.
18-26% is acceptable.
27-37% is overweight.
38%-plus is obese.

after about 6 months on induction I had a huge apron flap of skin (sorry TMI) and I mean huge, luckily over the course of about a year or so it shrank away.

I should think sit ups might help, not that i did any mind ;)

I will be doing sit ups Jim, i had trouble that caused severe aggrivation to the rear pelvis. So just going over speeding bumps was agony, and last year I had an operation:).

This year the only time i get trouble is sitting at this darn PC to long on a wonky angle huddled in the settee corner. ( So my own doing )

Im riding a bike daily from last week, and i ran a litte today, just on the walk home from dropping off my grandaughter but i think anything helps.

Also all my muscles are gaining structure so sit ups will not be such a strain on other areas when i start.

I know my excess skin areas are always my stomach and inner thighs.

Inner thighs even when i was 14 climbing trees and mountains and skiing i had inner thigh trouble, sadly i dont think that will improve, but stomach wise im praying i will bounce back.

I dont drink nearly enough water so im trying to retrain my tastebuds and body signals.:)

OK, good luck and yes the water is important. I drink a minimum of 8 pints a day

Anyone know if Jowels go away as
my cheeks are at my jaw line at the moment, terrified im going to trip over them in a months time:cry:
