i think the probkem has been i have been exercising on my ellipitical strider nad walking my dog for a hour n a half at east 5 times a week and the weight is just not coming off, i thought it wud fall off with exercise but obv my body just gone into total shok and kept the weight, im very very very disheartened at the minute xxxx
:cry::cry::cry::wave_cry::wave_cry::wave_cry:

Hey Hun don't be disheartned, 8lbs is a good loss as some people lose weight slowly. :)

You say you've been doing loads of exercise so have you been drinking enough water? If you are exercising that much are you eating enough aswell? And when you are on plan which one are you following?

i dont tend to drink water much, not that keen so i tend to stik to pepsi max, i love the stuff, if im feeling hungry it curbs my appetite to save me from piking at crap, by the way thanx for the reply xxx

I don't think your not eating enough then - i used to have a cup of tea instead of food aswell and it slowed down my weight loss. Maybe try having some fruit or a yogurt or something if your feeling hungry. Do you like Sugar Free Orange Squash or anything? That way you can have water and it doesn't taste as bad lol :)

yeah i do like squash i will go out and get some n give it a try, n i will eat more free foods, thanks for ur advice its appreciated xx

Have you taken your body measurements? Maybe you're losing inches oppose to weight.

I sts last week but found at the weekend I could fit back into a pair of jeans that had been in my "will get back into" pile. With all that excercise may be you're toning!!!

Plus 8lb in 7 weeks - that's almost 1lb a week. Thats great!

8lbs off is better than nothing off - or 8lbs on!

Well done, and good luck!
I weigh in on Wednesdays too, and have been faffting no end :(
had two weeks off plan (mental) and ended up gaining 4lbs... feel liek I have taken 10 steps forward and 9 back :(

An 8 lbs loss isn't to be sniffed at. You are over half a stone lighter than you were 2 months ago! Keep it up and that could be 2 stone before you know it ;)

Without looking at your food diary it's hard to tell but I would deffo recommend more fluid (not coke :() and taking some measurements - I think you will be pleasantly surprised ;)

Keep up the good work!

Corrina , I too have been on the plan for 6 weeks now and have only lost 8lbs , my family have all lost lots of weight , however , in my opinion , I do not feel deprived , I have my moments where I want chocolate , I have my moment where I am craving fast food but the way I see it , I am 9lbs lighter than I was when I started. I have came off the fizzy drinks completely , I only have 1 now and again if I have ran out of orange to put in my water. I cant say I am not trying because I now I am , however , some people just are bigger losers than others , If someone told you all them weeks agao that you would be half a stone lighter in 8 weeks , you would have grabbed the hand off them for a half stone off , keep your chin up honey and if it takes a wee while longer then so be it x x x

:hug99::read:Hiya Corina, please try not to be disheartened. I have just had my 6th W I and I too have only lost 8lbs. But I am really enjoying my meals and I too feel as if I have dropped a dress size. My jeans this morning are feeling baggy although I only lost half a lb this week. Keep going, some people lose a lot, some a little. I am taking the scenic route some take the motorway but we all get to our destination eventually, and the main thing is to enjoy the journey. Yes I probably would lose more if I did the ee plan, but I dont like veg much and for me it is more important to enjoy my meals whilst having a weight loss. Keep going, you will get there and we are all on here to support each other.

i tend to stick to Extra Easy plan x

We all feel like it's going a bit slow from time to time, and we'd all love a liitle pill that you take before you go to bed, and wake up a stone lighter (I wish) but none of us put on a stone in 6weeks so we can't expect to lose it that quickly either.....
It's far better to gradually lose weight, whilst changing deep rooted eating habits to enable us to remain on a plan for good, rather than lose the lot without getting used to eating healthily and bunging it all back on once we've lost it.

Well, that's how I'm looking at it this time, i don't want to start again, again - I hope you see what I mean.

Good luck everyone
Deb

Come on guys - enough with the ONLY having lost 8 lbs in x weeks!!!!

That's nearly four bags of sugar so imagine carrying that lot around with you day in day out. And it is pretty much exactly how much you should be losing in that period of time. The weight didn't go on overnight - it crept on a little every week and that's how its going to come off as well. I blame programmes like Biggest Loser for creating unrealistic expectations!

Rant over! :rant2: :D

What plan do you tend to do? Maybe changing plans & mixing it up abit will give you a boost - also take a look at the fish week thread, might be great to get things moving, BUT don't be dishartend at 8lbs loss - a loss is a loss & as somebody has already said, much better than a gain x
