Ideas to make a pea and ham soup?

I was thinking of using mushy peas (SS), onions and stock, simmering till onions are soft then blending and adding chopped ham? Do you think this would be okay?

The pea and ham recipe that has been going around my group is
2 tins of mushy peas
1/2 pint of Ham stock (knorr)
1 onion
Boil the onion in ham stock until softened, add peas season and blend. Add chopped ham or Gammon if you like free on EE

i was a bit unsure as i don't really likes peas but made it after everyone said how nice it was and it was really good.

It is quite filling, not as filling as the speed soup but a lot quicker to make, hardly any effort required. Enjoy!
