How do I freeze my Tetra

I've read on quite a few threads about having a Tetra frozen and I really like the idea of this...

Do I literally just pop a Tetra in the freezer and eat like an icepoll once it's frozen or do you blend with ice-cubes?

Thanks everyone :)

Pop it into the freezer at least overnight so it freezes solid.

About an hour before you want it, take it out of the freezer, cut off all the cardboard (like unpeeling an orange), pop it in a bowl and leave to defrost until it softens to a kind of 'icecream' consistency.

Enjoy!

Hi Mrs Roch

Hi,
I do both!!
They are nice frozen then just defrosted slightly in the microwave to make a bowl of "ice cream" I usually open the flaps of the carton (not opening the carton just lifting the stuck down bits) before freezing then peel the wrapper off once frozen
I also use a chilled tetra poured over 6-8 ice cubes and put in the food processor then whipped into what represents a Mc Donalds choc milkshake it easily fills a pint glasss and is very light and whippy. (needs a proper food processor with blades not a hand blender)
Good luck experimenting

You can also make ice cream from any shake or tetra - by crushing ice (you'll need a food processor or coffee grinder) and then adding packet and a little bit of water (or tetra) and wizzing for 30secs ... hey presto a big bowl of ice cream. Choc mint is my favourite!

Oooh must give this a try myself :p

does the tetra chocolate taste better than the regular chocolate shake????

How about the banana tetra too?? is this better than the regular banana shake???

A tetra is a premixed shake ~ i.e. it comes already mixed in a carton, with a straw which makes it ideal for take outs (for work or if you're off somewhere and don't have chance to mix your normal shake up). Comes in two flavours ~ Banana Bliss and Chocolate Velvet.

They both have a unique taste in that they don't taste like either the banana or chocolate powder shake mix ~ some find them quite sweet as the mix is more concentrated ~ but they are "Lush" mmmmm.

You should be able to get them from your regular CDC, but some charge a little more for them, like the bars.

hi, sorry to sound stupid but what's a tetra?

Its a ready made milkshake in a carton, can be handy if you working or out and about if you dont have time/materials to make a packet shake. xx

Thank you all so much for the Tetra pack ideas....

Can you believe, I've come home tonight and found my freezer door open so everything defrosted

Will have to do a shop tomorrow morning - not happy... Grrr

Will sort out freezer and Tetras will be the first thing I stock it up with..
