:)Good morning fellow SW'rs, I am planning on going to Aldi at some point today to get some shopping. What I wondered was what things, free food, low syn, HeX etc do you recommend from there. I have a mixture of days EE, Red & Green also not an overly fussy eater, although not too keen on fishy style foods:yuk:

Many thanks

Thank you starlite, I'm going to stock up on the fruit & veg thats on offer at the moment, but its nice to see there are other goodies to buy such as the cereal bars, I was buying the alpen ones but they are 1.69 a box in the coop, so will stock up on those.

the belight cottage cheese is free at aldi (pineapple one too according to the website), there are also some oven chips from there that are 1 syn for 100g which is good, think they are the straight cut oven chips (not the triple oven/grill/fry ones) I found them on the SW website, so may try those this week, sometimes its just easier to have oven chips to fling in the oven for fakeaway night!

I buy alot from Aldi which is slimming world friendly:

Bavarian smoked ham - I use it instead of bacon

belight cottage cheese

Frozen raspberries

Frozen berry fruits

pork steaks on special price atm you can cut off the fat.

Fruit and veg all at great prices

some of the meat joints very good. I get a pork loin joint with stuffing that all the family loves. I just dont eat the stuffing. In the frozen section.

Eggs, sweetner, all the basics at fab prices. I used to be able to get an arosol spay oil which was fab better than the frylight but they dont seen to stock it anymore.

Some fab gardening offers too!

Yes their frozen fruits are really good value.I love the gammon steaks.

these cerial bars.. someone said they had confirmed that they were a HeB, but I still don't see them on the online list of HeB's anywhere..
so until they are on the official SW list on the official SW site I'm not going to count them as a HeB and syn them...

I popped in this morning to aldi! No frozen fruit :-( but for just over £3 I got carrots, parsnips, 2 large swede, butternut squash, bag of small apples and some broccoli! Love their super 6 :)
